******PETS****
House trained , well behaved fur babies stay for $25 (one charge for 2). Would like to keep pets at 2 max. The Oyster House has a nice, big yard if you have a dog. Just bring a tie out and a runner to keep them off of Hwy 98 as there is no fence. There is a tie out in the yard if you find it satisfactory to use at your own risk. Please clean up waste after pups! 😀
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

The Oyster House is just what it is! Really enjoyed my stay here. It is just as described, and super clean! The kitchen has everything you need to cook your catch from the dock. Loved catching speckled trout in the afternoons when the tide came in. Very short drive to town for anything you might need. The owners are very hospitable and fun to to be around! Plan to come back soon!

What a unique place! I think the pictures and description are clear with the exception of privacy. This house shares a property with the owners’ camper. The docks are fairly close too. Thank goodness they are super nice! But it’s something to know before you go! Overall, we loved this place. It’s right on the bay and has crab pots ready to go (just add chicken for bait!) We caught about 35 crabs without trying too hard. The kitchen is very well stocked so we could have a crab boil one night. The place is over 50 years old but well maintained. It was comfortable and clean. The bed is two twins pushed together so that was a little odd. The only part we didn’t like was the tiny shower but it didn’t hamper our stay! The owners are great and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would love to bring the grandkids! They would have a blast!

Absolutely love the oyster house! Crab galore! Ran traps off the dock. The view was of back of the island and an awesome view of the big water and a cute palm off the tip of the bay. St. George lit the islands shore. Very private and convenient to many things. Not to far to go enjoy downtown in the golf cart. Will be back.

I loved every minute I spent here. The property was exactly as described. It’s a really special and unique experience to stay in this oyster house on the bay. Convenient to shopping and food. Amazing wildlife in the backyard. I saw dolphins, a bald eagle, a great blue heron. We caught blue crab off the dock and ate well. What a stay! I highly recommend. The bay delivered us a Statler Brothers tape one morning, right up to the shore. I left it amongst some other treasures from the sea. Pic attached.

The property is as described. The space is not very big, but it is cozy! We had 2 teenagers and my husband and I. We had space to cook, sleep, and play board games. We set out crab traps and had a crab boil at the end of the weekend. The dock is very nice! There are lots of items for you to use at the dock (crab traps, kayaks, etc) and items for the beach. We went to St. George Island for the beach and it was about 15 minutes away. It was labor day weekend, and we had no issue finding a place to park. The VRBO is unique, and charming! We had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, sheets and pillows. The kitchen was fully stocked. (no dishwasher, just FYI) My kids were hesitant when I booked this place because it is not fancy, but I think they really ended up enjoying their stay!! Breakfast on the dock every morning is SO nice!! I would not recommend a family of 4 for more than a few nights...it does get crowded. Overall, a great weekend!! I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to others. Great value, beautiful views, and a fun environment!

Short Trip from South GA

Overall was the best weekend trip we have had in a very long time. Plenty of fun to be had at and around the property. It was a little disappointing that the paddleboat was not working, as it was the initial picture that drew me to the property, and there was nowhere to swim nearby (less than 15 minutes away). However, the property was very clean, had many other fun things to use, and let's talk about the location! We sat out on the dock and saw dolphins and manatees. Fishing, paddling, golf-carting, the beach stuff, crab traps; we stayed very busy and very happy! I have been recommending it to all my friends who want a quick weekend trip.

Old town “Charm” !!

We absolutely loved this place ! We spent every morning and every evening on the back deck enjoying all the natural beauty and tranquillity, that seems to want you to remember back when, even though you’ve never been here before. Had every thing we needed and then some. Host are top notch, clean home, comfortable bed-all we could want. Definitely we will be returning and soon ! ** We drove the short distance to spend a day in town and drove to Indian Pass one day and we enjoy them both but the evenings was saved for watching for the dolphins and an old man in a rigidity boat to pull up with his daily catch of fresh oysters to this wonderful “Oyster House”!!
