Disappointed

Choose the grand double room which going by the images we were put in the standard room. Free Parking which was one of my key requirements turned out not to be free, but 15e per day. Wi-Fi password changed on the 2nd night without warning which was extremely frustrating as we needed it for planning and Netflix. Don’t know why they would do this. All in, quite unsatisfactory. Not the hosts issue but if you do drive to Antwerp you have to register your vehicle and need to submit images of your registration documents which I didn’t have with me. Very longwinded process. Fine is 150 to 350e !! Be warned.

Clean, Mostly quite, and comfy.

It's a nice and cozy place to stay. Small, but clean and usually quite. There is a restaurant downstairs and at times the sounds were audible, but we weren't bothered. Overall, I was happy with the stay and would return again.

A truly perfect experience

Wonderful is the word that describes this hotel. The management and staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and the accommodation was beautifully designed, with a relaxed and soothing atmosphere. The restaurant was simply brilliant, with a vegan Thai menu being served while we were there. Everything was perfect, I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Very homely, cost, quaint, ideal for “on the go traveler “ no frills like room service, housekeeping etc. Rooms clean, nice linen, spacious. Traditional Belgian home, narrow, steep staircase up to bedrooms so challenging with heavy luggage but manageable. Most amazing vegetarian kitchen, highly recommended. Will definitely go back.

Like staying with family!

The B&B was exactly as-advertised! Simone and her staff offered wonderful hospitality and made me feel as though I'd already known them for years. The food was incredible, too. I'm not usually one to stay in a B&B, but I'm glad I decided to this time. Next time I'm in Antwerp, I hope there'll be a vacant room to stay in!

A very good experience

The room was very goog, clean and quiet. Simone was very welcoming and the evening meal and breakfast were delicious! I would definitely recommend this place.

Best vegan food I had + most cosy B&B I’ve been

No many times you stay in a place that feels like home but Simone’s Kitchen really make me feel like a I was home. Very cosy place, supper clean and the most comfortable bed I’ve been in a long time. On the top of it I had dinner on the restaurant area, a very chill atmosphere with a beautiful terrace and the best vegan food I have tried. The food flavours blow me away, the service was brilliant and efficient and I definitely will be back.

Delicious food!

Staying with Simone and Allistair in Antwerp was lovely. It is a short walk to the city center and Simone's cooking is delicious. Do know that you will pay for any meals you eat at the B&B, but the cuisine is well worth it. The location is nice and quiet and certainly somewhere I would return!!

Unique concept; loud guests/residents

Unique concept. We didn't join for any meals, but all of the food smells were amazing. Very close to Grote Markt / city square which was very convenient and easy to access via tram. The main downside is that this is an actual residence, and it appears that small children live here. We were woken in the evenings to a baby crying, and a couple nights could hear what appeared to be a toddler throwing a tantrum. So while a very comfortable room, did not enjoy a full nights sleep. Wifi was spotty/unreliable

Kamers zijn in oud pand met steile trap, 2 hoog. Lastig met meerdere koffers. Midden in Joodse wijk.Trappenhuis en kamer waren smoezelig (veel stof op plinten, gebladerd houtwerk, etc.) Onder was een restaurant maar niet uitnodigend.
