The best hotel in Guatemala! Very very nice staff

Beautiful hotel with excellent, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The spa was great, massage amazing. Food is also very good. Probably best if you speak at least some Spanish. We are spanish-speakers so no problem. Friends with limited spanish also loved it. The attention paid to cleanliness and room service blows away comparably priced hotels in the US. Only real problem was the insane music choice played over and over - slow jazz renditions of famous songs and ballads from pop to Sinatra - songs that are great, so why not just play the originals? They even hired a good keyboardist to come play over recordings of the same. As a musician and music lover, this was painful. What a shame for a country with wonderful musical traditions.

Beautiful property with wonderful staff. It was close to the shops and restaurants and it had wonderful views of the volcano.

Great hotel, their staff needs inspiration they seemed bothered by guests with kids.

Love the food and the prices very good I really recommend A

We had a lovely time as usual. This is one of our favorite places to stay in Antigua.

We were placed in a room in a building across from the actual hotel and our room was so noisy from street traffic that I didn't sleep. We checked out the next morning even though we were scheduled to stay 2 nights. They made us pay anyway. We were very disappointed and wouldn't stay here again.

I love it and definitely recommend to friend. Thank you for the excellent job. ♥️

This is a very good hotel for the area but certainly not a 5 star hotel.

We had a great experience at Porta Hotel Antigua. The location is just enough off the beaten path that you don't get disturbed by tourists. The pool had a nice community feel. The staff was incredibly accommodating, from dialing international numbers for us to making fires in our fireplace each night. I would definitely stay here if we go back to Antigua!

Personal amazing, ready to help you with everything, safe and the best rate to change dollar store

Porta Antigua Hotel was excellent in all aspects! Beautiful gardens, the room was spectacular! My family and I had the greatest experience. Antigua Guatemala is special and this hotel made it even more special. Thank you for the excellent customer service. Congratulations for such a beautiful hotel.

Very nice comfortable place to stay. Very good service getting to the hotel. What I didnt like was that they didn't ask if we preferred a one or two bed room. They assumed we needed two beds. I called the receptionist and asked to have me switch and took less then 10 mins. As we got to the bar, no one acknowledged us, which was very annoying. Finally someone came up to us, but the drinks weren't strong at all.. overall we had a nice time. Very nice pools and views. I give it a 4

Very nice. Staff were excellent. Breakfast adequate. Looks a really great place for families as lots of children's activities were taking place. Room was very nice. Mosquito type thing no so! Recommend giving the room a good spray a couple of hours before going to bed for the night. Excellent bed. Room was somewhat noisy as directly on the main street. Overall very, very good. I'm on business in Guatemala City and the transit time was less than an hour each way. Highly recommended!

Entrance of hotel was very nice. You are introduced by a small fountain. Checking in was very easy and the staff eager to help take your luggage and show you to your room. The room I stayed in had two full size beds with a fire place just across from the poo 1st floorl. Even though it was not peak time in Antigua hotel was still very busy and no noise traveled from the pool area to the room, We walked around the whole complex and it was very clean. You can tell they maintain the grounds very well. Staff if consistently sweeping and cleaning pool. The view of the volcanos was amazing! Words can't describe them just awesome. I found a little spot close to the grass and just took it all in. At night they light up the candles and the hotel transforms into a romantic get away. You feel welcomed and you definitely know you are on vacay, Oh super kid friendly as well.....

It's always great to go to Antigua, Guatemala. The trip is even better when you spen it in such great hotel. Great service. Great rooms. The rooms could use a little more lighting though. But overall, it was great.

It was a very good experience. The hotel does'nt has a good Internet conexion in the rooms.

The first night was horrible the room was small old and it didn't look so clean but that wasn't the worst part . Because of the old wall facing the street every time a car passed it felt like an earthquake and the noise make it impossible to slip. The next day I went to complain and they were really comprehensive they changed me to a room in a new part of the hotel completely different, big nice clean and new rooms the one that they show in the pictures. Our next 2 nights were perfect with a pool almost to our own. Also the hotel have a really good spa. They didn't charge us extra for the new room so I cant complain but the only thing its why do you have to complain to get the good stuff in stead of getting what you paid for from the beginning.
