Location is safe, affordable and close to the main plaza of Antigua. Owner responded timely to questions. The downside is the property is not quiet at all. It’ll be quiet enough from about 11pm-5:30/6am but you hear absolutely every car, tuktuk, person, bus, truck that passes by, it’s a high frequency road and there’s zero soundproofing. You also need to be small and not pregnant to use the bathroom. The opening to the shower is less than shoulder width apart, maybe 13 or 14 inches? I had to enter the shower sideways and not head on as I couldn’t fit. No way I could do that if I were pregnant or larger than a US size 10. The owner either needs to remove the solid shower doors and replace instead with curtains or you need to be small in order to stay here. I’d also recommend that the owner install hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and keep extra to and paper towels in the unit. Both were almost gone when I checked in and I had to go buy paper towels and toilet paper myself.
