this is a lovely hotel , only short walk through grounds to the beach, rooms are really nice with a basic mini bar plus tea and coffee facilities [lack of tea spoons, had to borrow from restaurant several times ].beds were extremely comfortable and the maids were good.safe in each room very easy to use with no charge.everything in the bars and restaurant were of very high standard though found the menu was the same each day but food did improve if the were entertaining a corporate event.the snack bar /restaurant by the beach was so much better.we travelled at end of October, when we got there the weather was hot but no one was in the swimming pools due to temperature of water [think this was the iceberg that sank the titanic].found out they only heat one pool and that is from 1st November.so sun bathing yes but no swimming.we spent swimming time in the sea where it was a lovely temperature.apparantly from the 1st of November this hotel changes to winter set up which we had no information about but they make you feel you are in the way as they are removing sunbeds during the day , furniture being removed from bars and coffee bars in full view of holiday makers to the point where we saw staff waiting for people to vacate sunbeds on the jetty so the could then remove them...hopefully if you travel to this hotel you are quite fluent in german as a lot was said in this language but not repeated in English.would I go again , probably not , have been to many places that could teach this hotel a few things .it was on my hitlist , certainly glad I did it but its been there done that and wont be hurrying back.going back to the rooms, you can clearly here your neibours so hope you get people that do not make to much noise and the tv has a 100 channels 2 of which are English speaking but both news channels
Where can I start. We have visited Side at least 13 times so we thought we would give Lara Beach a try as it is suppose to be the home of the true 5* resorts. What a disappointment!! The hotel is very clean, the staff on the whole are very friendly and that’s where it ends. The facilities are okay, there are pools bowling and bars aplenty as there are in all Antalya hotels. The entertainment is non existent which is quite surprising as the hotel is running at almost full capacity. Now for the food, what a massive disappointment, the breakfast is by far the worst breakfast I have ever had in Turkey. The lunch and dinner menus are exactly the same on a two day rotation, day one sprouts carrots potato wedges, steak and chicken, day two sprouts carrots, potato wedges, shish kebabs and lamb steaks then back to day one. You can find the usual salad, cold cut meats and cheese and that is the meals. This would not be an issue if there was anything to do outside the hotel, but there isn’t. These hotels trade on the fact they contain all you need and this is definately not the case. On the whole I would most definately give Lara Beach a wide berth, Side hotels offer so much more including bars and restaurants aplenty outside of the hotel should the food and entertainment be under par.
I would pay attention for audibility in the rooms as we heared our neibours from both sides. Chairs in main restorant were dirty. Should put napkins. We couldn't get an ice-cream when we wanted only 16.30 or at night time in lobby. That's crazy. I totally undetstand it was the end of the season but this hotel open all year round so my opinion that evening entertainment still must be on if all hotel was booked out. Absolutely was nothing to do in the evening just to sit in the bar. In total wasn't too bad. Thank you for your services.
Photo of my mate having tea well it november suns out Titanic hotel is 1 of the nest i been to food drink room or i should say Everything was brill 10 out of 10 could find a fault so same time next year here we come
We are late discovering Turkey now cannot keep away from the country. Our second time in 18 months but first time to Titanic. We could not find a bad word to say about it. From reception to departure we found first class hospitality and friendliness. We paid £15 extra for a partial sea view. Well worth it. The mini bar contents were included and replenished daily.. Swimming pools outside and in suited everyones requirements. Everywhere was always immaculately clean even the wahrooms by the beach. Food bountiful, well prepared and set out. There was always a welcome at the dining room entrance with numerous themed areas for eating, Asian, Modern, Eclectic, a very large dining room and area to eat outside. There is even an area for kids to eat in should they wish We could not speak highly enough of this hotel and would definitely have it as number one to return to
Just finished our holiday in antalya. We stayed at the Titanic Beach hotel. What an experience and not in a good way. The rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaners were friendly. The bar staff were hardworking and some went out of their way to help you. We enjoyed our holiday until we had to check out from the hotel and pay for the spa service we used. We had been booked in for a turkish bath and peel service and was told we pay 220turkish lira for TWO PEOPLE and we pay that in the reception before check out which was fine even though we offered to pay the spa on the day as you normally would. At check out the receptionist requests a different amount from us. In fact double what was agreed on. We told him that the spa lady told us it was 220 and i signed a paper which shows 220TL which he goes no and shows us a reciept. Now the reciept was not the one i signed and my signuture was forged. When i pointed this out to the receptionist he quoted “i dont know not my problem” we then argued our point of how the spa sold us somthing on one price but charged us double on a different reciept. The receptionist was not interested in listening as he kept stating not his problem. At the point of sale we was not issued with a reciept and as it claims to be a 5* hotel we believed what we was sold and trusted them. The spa sent a lady up after requesting to talk to someone for 10mins. She didnt seem to understand what we was saying and instead implied we did not understand english. She then disappeared angerily and sent someone else. Who then claimed i must have changed my signurture. She showed me a price list which she wrote down apprently on paper when the deal was made with us. I told her she was not the lady who made the sale and secondly she was claiming we got and extra 200tl discount from the original price which was a lie. Bare in mind we had our transfer waiting outside when we requested to speak to a manager they all seem to not be at work and wont be until after 10 which was a lie as we saw management around the previous few days. And then they tried to get security to intimedate us The service we got was discusting. Never in my life i thought a 5*hotel would forge my signurture for somthing so little. Their attitude was discusting no staff wanted to help and when they realised we was from England and told them we will take it further they all seem to not understand us and moved away. This is to warn people that the staff in this hotel are liars and will rip you off however they can and you wont know till the moment you leave. Such discuting attitude from the receptionist and spa staff. Plus they stood there in front of us talking in their language having a laugh at the situation. Having said all this the resturant staff and bar staff were friendly and always willing to help. Now they may try justify themselves here and make out this was not the situation but believe me it was and they did nothing to resolve it or help. no amount of sorry or anything explains why i was overcharged on a service and made to believe it was my problem their spa staff lied and secondly why my signuture was forged onto a different reciept which they all seem to say is not their problem.
This is a wonderful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay, November is really the end of season and some of the facilities were closed, but there was plenty to do. Even with 2 rainy days... The indoor heated pool, sauna, ice room and spa were fantastic. Our 12 year old twin girls had a great time, tennis courts, bowling, water slides etc. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is spotless and our room was cleaned everyday. The food is very tasty, but it would be nice to have more variety (this could have been due to it being the end of season). However, I am looking forward to going again in July... Congratulations to everyone involved with the Titanic Beach Laura, it is an amazing hotel.
Just recently returned from a weeks holiday at the Titanic Beach and had a lovely break. The hotel is kept well and very clean and plenty of staff on hand to look after you the food was varied and plentiful if you don't like queuing then pick your times to eat. Good facilities and some fantastic visiting shows also a daily program of events. The only downside for us is we didn't do any research as we booked with Thomas Cook and hoped to get everything we needed from our welcome meeting WRONG our rep didn't turn up we contacted Thomas Cook as per instructions on there literature via a message and they replied someone will be in touch from the resort WRONG never bothered and still to this date NOTHING. So back to tui next time. One final point check the price before you make yourself comfortable in one of those lovely poolside/ beach retreats.
Titanic Beach Lara is a European style hotel (not oriental style, no gimmicks, no kitsch, but elegant) not actually in Lara, but out of Lara direction Kundu, between hotels Miracle and Delphin BE. It's close to the airport (12km), but doesn't suffer from aircraft noise. The main road is about 150m from the place, so that there is no street noise either. The building has a Y shape with the two ends to the North and one end to the South (direction beach). If you have a room facing inside the Y, arriving and leaving cars and buses might disturb you. Food is good and plenty, just the "coffee" from the red machines is hardly potable. For breakfast they serve filter coffee, and the lobby bar serves good coffee from a black machine (Schiller). In the restaurant and the lobby bar the noise level is quite high, because all walls are hard material reflecting sound and no sound deflectors are installed. The interior designer has only taken optics into account, no acoustics. The beach is a 300m walk across the compounds passing some pools, a party area, sports grounds (tennis, table tennis, soccer), children playground) and an amphitheater (good shows every evening during summer). On the way to the beach you can get a fresh towel in exchange to your "towel card". Unfortunately, the pools are heated only from beginning of November, so that at the end of October, when the sea temperature has already dropped a bit, you cannot just go into a pool instead, because it is even colder. The stick to the calendar and don't take the weather into account. At least the Stella beach bar has been kept open for another couple of days into November when the temperature had recovered a bit.
We visited this hotel early October 2017. The hotel was beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail having gone into the decor. The hotel was good value for money. The few things the hotel could do to make this better is have different cuisine nights so the food is less monotonous. The food served is of a good quality but becomes a little repetitive. The hotel seems to cater for its Eastern European guests in relation to the food. The other aspect that could be improved is the entertainment. It would be nice to have a singer or a band before the main show at 9:30 ish. The spa is great and very well equipped. The bowling alley is a nice touch too. Would go back for a week again if the price was right but not for 2 weeks as there is not much outside the hotel at all. Short transfer away from the airport though!
