Lovely hotel in perfect location for Annecy but ££

Fantastic location to explore Annecy town and the lake. Rooms small but very well furnished and a lovely shower. The underground car park has lots of EV chargers which are free to use (but the car park is €30 per day). Pretty expensive place to stay but I guess it’s the going rate for the location. One negative: €6.50 for a coca cola in the hotel bar??? Seriously???

If you need to book a taxi please understand that apparently in Annecy all hotels can’t book you a taxi? My daughter 19 years speaks excellent French and it was not explained to us. We had to book our own transport as they were asking to book us a private transfer. Euro 35. This is the 1st hotel in our 3rd week of a 5 week trip that the staff could not book a Taxi? Perhaps a sign at reception would help travellers. The staff were smiling and friendly to French guests checking out and rude to us. This is our 1st encounter in 3 weeks of rude staff. A lady on reception ( not Jane or Bhuta- who were not helpful or polite) tried to help us - we thank her. The room attendants were excellent and smiled to us and said “Bonjour” every time we came in contact. The bar staff also were not friendly and I would not stay here again. The pool area has no ambiance and a guest was rude to me as I proceeded to put my towel on a sun chair? He had no towel to indicate he was sitting there? We are a very friendly family and found the rooms to be the best part of the hotel. I hope this helps .

Located within walking distance of Annecy's old town. Modern and well appointed rooms. Secure carpark available. Has restaurant, bar and bakery on site. Good pastries on offer.

Lovely location and great to have an outdoor pool (although this was heated even in the summer) with sun loungers. Our room had an adjoining room which we could hear the people in the other room through so wasnt as soundproof as we would have liked. Room was very modern and great bakery at hotel entrance was a bonus.

Overall good and comfortable stay. The loft style makes it fun and airy even when the size of the room is small. Design is thoughtful. View from the windows is gorgeous. Also love the heated towel racks in both bathrooms. Breakfast, dinner, and the bakery are all delicious. The only thing is that the housekeepers don’t clean the drinking glasses. Luckily we have baby bottle detergent and brush with us so I can clean the glasses every day. You definitely need clean drinking glasses because they only offer two refillable water bottles so everyone has to share those bottles.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Our room and bathroom were nicely appointed, with space to move around and store our items. Loved the window that opened to enjoy the view of Lake Annecy and the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful, and most spoke English well (as with anywhere in France, always start with "bonjour"). We arranged for a reserved parking space in their snug-but-manageable underground parking area. It is an easy 3-4 minute walk from the hotel to the main old town area. Will stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return!

Perfect visit

Wonderful stay at Le Pelican. The room was perfect and had a beautiful view and a balcony. Very comfortable bed. Kettle and coffee maker. Very nicely appointed with great lighting. Our floor had a water dispenser that poured cold, tap and mineral water. We were provided with glass bottles to fill and refill. The bakery in the lobby was wonderful. Even locals go there for bread/sweets and coffee. The staff was great very helpful. They arranged transportation to Geneva Airport for us. The weather was not great so we didn’t get to use the pool but it is a very nice area looking out on the lake. Don’t miss riding bikes around the lake.

Nice room with outdoor sitting space. Comfortable bed. Good location close to old city Annecy. Good breakfast on terrace overlooking the lake. Parking nearby is scarce so booking the underground parking at the hotel proved convenient, although ramp down is a bit tight.
