This is one of the finest hotels I have had the pleasure to reside in more than 20 years overseas traveling. Luxurious accommodations, five star restaurants, full spa and fitness facilities. Friendly and courteous staff.
We stayed there for 2 nights for work. The location is good and the rooms are new and the hotel itself was fantastic. The breakfast was good and also good room service. I would recommend it for other travellers.
Very good and luxury hotel. Workers very helpfull and kind. Swim pool and roof bar are very good. Rooms are very confortable and very good. There is otopark. You should stay.there isinside and outside pool, And also Turkish bath, sauna.
I think this is a modern hotel relatively recent construction with excellent facilities services food restaurants services overall when in Ankara I would not recommend staying anyplace else unless you could not find a place at JW Marriott
I stayed at JW Marriott for a business trip. Check in: Check in was quick, paperwork was quick Room: I stayed on 19th floor, room was very nice, it had good space. It looked fresh and clean. All the furniture and accessories are in very good condition. Wireless should not be subject to fee because it is not an added value in my opinion. If you claim to be business hotel, you should make wireless free. Sleep quality: I really enjoyed the quiet setting at this hotel. I think sound proofing is done very good. Didn't hear any people noise, elevator noice, room service etc. I had a very good sleep. Room A/C is very effective , cools the room very quickly Breakfast: I liked the breakfast. One specific comment is on the taste of tea. There was something weird with the taste. It may be because they are using tea and coffee pots and the taste after certain time starts buillding up even though it is cleaned. I let the staff know but taste didn't change. Check out: It was again very quick. I liked this hotel overall and I'd visit again.
When looking for a hotel in Ankara, I always look for an offset security officer monitoring traffic into the property. All cars should be checked under the vehicle and in the trunk prior to letting the cars in. JW Marriot has such a system and so does the Hilton in Ankara. The hotel is full service with large spacious rooms and showers. I had a two room suite. They have a fantastic buffet breakfast including some dishes with pork. There is a Skyview bar at the top with a nice view. The health club and spa are nice. They also offer a hair dresser. Many of the staff speak good English. Room service is fast and good. We had a conference there. The meeting was well managed with a large ballroom.
Stayed in a hotel couple of times in the past and always enjoyed thoroughly. The rooms are great (though air-con is a bit too noisy for my taste) - nicely sized and with quality furniture. The service is outstanding, food is tasty and the executive lounge is among the best ones I used. The only con I came across (not a big thing but irritating as hell) is a requirement to wear a swim cap in the hotel swimming pool... really!? In Europe?! In XXI century?! What a ridiculous requirement... the funny thing is a story staff tried to sell me as the reason why... to protect my hair from chloride (are you going to stop selling alcohol to protect my liver, as well?) and to keep swimming pool filters cleaner (with the amount you charge for a room you can afford to clean filters more often!)... So to sum up, great hotel if you don't mind outdated and awkward swimming pool policy :)
I spent 4 nights at the Marriott and enjoyed my entire stay. The hotel is well designed with a beautiful lobby and excellent support spaces. My room was very well appointed and comfortable. There was ample English speaking programs on the TV. The bed and linens were luxurious. The buffet breakfast is over the top with everything that you could want. Staff and hotel management were courteous and very helpful. An excellent stay. I will be back.
Just next to the largest shopping mall of Ankara and across the metro station. You can easily spend your day out and return easily to hotel at night. Clean room with nice gym. Polite staff. Highly used for business meetings.
We just spent two nights at this hotel for a 'staycation' - we live in Ankara and wanted a high quality weekend escape. The JW Marriott did not disappoint. We stayed in a standard room, but had access to the Executive Lounge. The room: Spacious, with high quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Some of the best water pressure I've experienced in a shower anywhere!! The room was quiet, and well draped to facilitate a well earned sleep in. The bathroom was well serviced, with plenty of towels and nice toiletries. Executive Lounge: Excellent value for money, if you want somewhere quiet and cosy to sit and enjoy a pre-dinner beverage and a nibble. The staff here were great. I can't remember the man's name who served us here both Friday and Saturday night, but he was really accommodating and efficient. Sky Bar: We went here for cocktails late on Friday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the piano and vocalist combination, and the entire place felt really high class and comfortable. The view and sense of space out the windows from the 22nd floor was lovely. It reminded us of being back in Hong Kong - a feeling we've had nowhere else in Ankara since arriving last year. We'll certainly be back here when we feel the need for a really nice night out. JW Steak House: We ate here Saturday night. It's particularly well decorated and makes for a lovely atmosphere. Though the menu held nothing particularly inspiring for us. We probably won't return. There are better value specialist steak restaurants elsewhere in Ankara, particularly given this restaurant doesn't really offer anything over and above the others in terms of food. Breakfast: Breakfast here was standard for a good quality hotel. It didn't blow us away, but we have no real complaints. Karma Spa: I had a one hour massage here - "Winter Dream." It was a very good massage in a lovely five star spa environment. Overall hotel: This is one of the most lovely hotels in which we've stayed. Everything is in grand proportions, yet the entire place felt warm and welcoming. The high level of English language amongst the staff, though to be expected at an international hotel of this standard, was nonetheless refreshing for Ankara, where English speaking service is hard to come by. I would certainly recommend a stay here; particularly with Executive Lounge access and a spa treatment. You're worth it!! :-)
