I have recently stayed at Holiday Inn Kavaklidere Ankara. I have recieved a very good welcoming, even though staff was not fluent in English they tried to be as helpful as possible. Facilities are really well kept amd modern. Breakfast was awesome.

The staff is very professional and friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy; the location is great. The sales team noticed that it was my first time in their hotel, so they met me in person during my check out in order to understand if everything went well. I was flattered. I won’t be looking for any another alternative in Ankara.

The Holiday Inn Kavaklidere was my base for a three-night stay for a recent business trip to Ankara. Its location makes it an ideal choice if your stay involves business with the nearby embassies or other government departments, but it also serves well the tourist attractions; Ataturk's Mausoleum and Museum of the War of Independence are a two mile walk away. A taxi from the airport took about 30 minutes (speed limits are advisory and seat belts rarely used, it seems), and cost 100TK. Check in was efficient, and I was soon shown to my room on the fourth floor by the concierge. The building is actually quite old, but such is the modern design of the reception area and other ground floor features, and the modernisation of the bedrooms, its age is only really obvious when the building is viewed from across the street. I was quite impressed with my room. Firstly, it was immaculate, and cleaning was to a very high standard throughout. It was well furnished, with enough storage for my stay. Useful sized desk, tea & coffee facilities and large TV (although I hardly ever watch TV in a hotel). WiFi quality was good. The only complaint, more of niggle really, was that it was hard to get the air conditioning to attain a temperature cool enough for my liking. The bathroom was good too; again immaculately clean with a good supply of toiletries and towels and a decent, easy to use shower with faultless supply of hot water. The hotel is equipped with a mini-gym, but I can't really comment as I'm a runner and that's what I did. Breakfast starts at 06:30, and was good. Usual standard western choice of cereals, fruit and pastries with traditional Turkish dishes. It was well stocked, and the staff worked hard to keep it so. In fact, the staff were almost a bit too attentive; I prefer to measure my own cereal rather than have the bowl taken out of my hand and done for me! Outside, the frontage has a decent sized seating area, more pleasant than it seems for an afternoon coffee or evening beer, but unless you enjoy secondary smoking, not so pleasant in the morning (but I guess that's not unique to this hotel). There is also a reasonably stocked bar adjacent to the reception, but of course it charges hotel prices. So would I stay here again? Yes, and in fact I will be for a week later in the year.

We were very happy with our stay here. The location is great, walking distance to many restaurants and close to the embassies. The room was small but very clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. No complaints and would stay here again.

Hotel has located at a very central location for those who wants to explore Ankara especially by walking. The welcoming has not been so pleasure at the beginning as at the entrance when we approach the main gate nobody has given atention to us. Later the Vale was not very kind. It might be because we were in sports wear and coming from a long way. The room was small but clean. Thé House keeping Lady was kind and helpful. The breakfast was quite OK. The variety of food is satisfying and quality is good. The gym is small. There are mainly cardio equipments and some dumbells .There are no signs to direct you to gym You need to take the service elevator and go to G floor. The best part of the hotel was the lady in the reception. She was quite helpful, kind and quick. There is no parking place for those who comes with their car. They just simply take your keys and park the car on the street. Therefore security is questionable. Nice hotel but the staff needs to improve how a guess feel himself welcomed and well taken care of.

Among the best hotels I stayed in on my business trips around the globe. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Not very big, but therefor is the central location an asset, as restaurants and bars are in a walking distance. Breakfast was typical turkish and rich in choice. Rates were low. I was very satisfied.

Very close to a lot of cafes, restaurant. As you get of the hotel, take a right and keep walking, in a few minutes you will see a lot cafes. Even Burger King and KFC. Right next to the hotel (on the left) there is a very nice cafe with all the delicacies. Had Breakfast there. The staff was very helpfull. guided me on how to reach a couple of places. The room was small and without any view. Maybe due to the fact the hotel is built on small land.

Stayed here for three nights. Check in was very efficient and I was upgraded to an executive room on the top floor in recognition of my IHG membership. The room was very nice, with a good sized bathroom and everything you would need or expect - coffee/tea making, big TV, fridge, desk, a nice touch was having electrical outlets next to the bed. There's a media interface on the desk to allow you to connect your laptop to the TV but none of the connectors worked including the USB charger additionally it was not possible to change the input source of the TV, had I been staying here longer I would have reported it. Breakfast was very good with a variety of items both local and international. As I was there during the winter the heating was naturally on but uncontrollable making the room far too hot even with the windows open and the air conditioning had been switched off during this period. The location was good for where I was working and there were a few cafes and restaurants close by and within walking distance. A taxi to/from the hotel will cost about 100 Turkish Lira and about €40 if booked by the hotel. Overall a nice short stay and would consider again if in Ankara.

Actually, I love Turkey. Although first time in Ankara, I felt like in well known environment and atmosphere. It was very cold - well below zero centigrades - but Ankara offered warmth and welcome. Holliday Inn offered even more. The guest was welcomed and treated as the most important being. Everything was at service and nothing is impossible. That was the attitude of highly polite and professional staff. Room is huge, with huge bed, spatious desk, chairs and semi closed terrace. Wonderful spatious bathroom with all amenities. Cattle and coffee and tea in the room. Well heated. Enough plugs well placed and good lights. Movies on demand (extra charge) are available, as well as other home tv services. Breakfast is delicious and diverse even for those who eat vegan and vegetarian food. Staff is perfect. Overall, all recommendations for this hotel.

There is absolutely nothing I can find to complain about at this hotel. Everything - from the location to the reception staff to the room - was of the highest standard. Check-in was fast and friendly. The wifi was free and excellent. The cocktails in the bar were great (though they did take ages to arrive). The room was lovely, and (unusually) just the right temperature. Taxis are right across the road. Shopping is within walking distance. The concierge & valet staff were incredibly helpful... A fantastic short stay, and we'll certainly be back.
