After 3 years , we wnt back and have to say,we are not disoapinted at all. Same service, same quality. Five five is a five from five:) The owner Ulhi and his right hand Kareem can make your holiday to a stay what you never gonna forget and will go back, like me.. :)

I went there last week with my family... i normally only write positive reviews as i prefer to share the good word... it was my first dinner with family at Goa... so didn't had much expectations... the location is nice and the owner also was friendly... but the waiters seemed not much interested in providing a good service... we just requested for a few things and were made to feel not really welcome... the menu items are fairly priced but fresh catch was exorbitantly priced... we bought a small plate of calamari at 1000.00 INR which the waiter told us was a steal... during the subsequent lunch and dinners including some at very exotic places we realised that calamari small portion only cost 500.00 INR... i hope the owners take the feedback positively and try to make a few changes ..

I come back to 55 time after time when visiting Anjuna - the staff are friendly, the hygiene impeccable and the food just fabulous. On top of that Ulhas and Marnie are the best hosts. Every year they make little improvements that ensure their guests have a great time. Try out the strawberry lassie, the paneer tikka masala, and the aloo gobi. Delicious (I'm sure everything is). I drove in nearly every day of my 2 week stay to eat here, it's safe and clean and good value too.

We stayed here for 8 nights at the start of January, and we weren't disappointed!! Uli and Marney are the best hosts you could ever ask for! When we left, we left as friends who will definitely be returning! Our tent was closest to the beach-big thumbs up- and it was a proper glamping experience. The bed is incredible, more comfortable than my one at home. Bathroom was great- especially with a mixer shower and proper toilet!! The restaurant is amazing. Food is super fresh and exquisite. The fish was to die for, and the tandoori was the best we had in 8 weeks in whole of India. Nothing is far away, walk to town is 20 mins across beach so not a hardship!! Overall definitely 10/10, and we're already looking at next year. Thank you soooooooo much xx

Though I've been to Anjuna and experienced many great days and evenings at Five Five, perched on the old watchtower overlooking the beach, this was the first time I have had the pleasure of resting my head in one of the familiar tents. I now wish I had stayed there before! Uli and Marnie are such wonderful hosts, going out of their way to make me and my compadres feel right at home. From superb tandoor cooking - garlic naans are to die for - alongside delicious curries and a never ending supply of ice cold Kingfishers, Five Five sets the bar for Goan hospitality. I can't wait to go back once more!

A big thank you again to Uhlas & Marnie for another fantastic stay at Five Five. Tents are lovely & clean, beds very comfy, bathroom in the tent has a shower with hot water, toilet & basin, lovely fluffy towels provided. Fantastic attentive service, nothing is too much trouble. Can’t wait for our return visit next year!

Stayed in the tents for two nights and had a great time, only five tents so book early. Huge super king bedroom with separate bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower, outside patio area with seats. Right on the beach. Big very cheap market just up the road. Food nice and cheap too, nothing was too much trouble. Run by the lovely Marnie

Good place to stay for couple.. bang opposite on the sea, however rocks are der in front of hotel so need to walk for 5 mins to get into the sea for swim. Tents is between cafe Lilliput and curlies so you don’t need to go anywhere for party. Owner is always ready to help and very nice person. Marni is also helpful. Good restaurant n food. All staff are extremely good especially Rahim and shiv.. will definitely like to stay next time. However tent Should have rule to close party in restaurant by 12 so that other guests should not be disturbed. Also you should allow shacks on beach as neighbour does.

I’ve been coming back to stay with Marni and Uli for a few years now and would never stay anywhere else in Goa. There’s nothing better than sleeping in a luxurious tent right on the beach, and each day waking up to the sounds of the sea, cool winds, and their amazing hospitality. They’re the most charming hosts and I highly recommend it. Thanks so much Uli and Marni, you’re both amazing x

Dear traveller, I have been to Anjuna roughly 6 times now. In such time I've stayed in 3 separate locations, the third occasion I was lucky enough to stay at Tents on the Beach. I have never stayed anywhere since. Run by Ulhas and Marney and their inimitable team, Tents on the Beach is an institution in Goa. It sits perfectly situated between Anjuna town and the ever present bass of Curlie's. (though mercifully out of earshot of the latter). If you are looking for abject luxury, I would suggest the W in Vagator or some such branded establishment. But if you want soul, a welcoming vibe and to come to a place you may very well return to again and again (as both myself and friends have) then this is the place for you. I write this purely as a guest who has come to love this place as a little slice of authentic Goan life much departed from other areas. The tents are comfortable, spacious and functional. The location as mentioned is perfect for moving around Anjuna and a stones throw from Anjuna's legendary fleamarket. This is a place to exhale. To rest and watch the sunset from Five Five's beach set tree houses while munching on hot cheesey garlic naan and a cold kingfisher beer. This is the Goan experience I went in search of 7 years ago. There is a little bit of magic to be found here. Come see for yourself. Walter
