Lovely Stay in the Lakes District

Perfect stay. Lovely room, modern, clean and very comfortable Good communication. We had a minor enquiry and it was sorted within minutes even though there was no hotel reception on site. Very much appreciated. Definitely recommend The Fisherbeck Hotel in Ambleside

The property was fine & room was ok Positives: size of room,balcony view and parking facility (as central Ambleside car parks were all full) Negatives: WiFi not good, the drains in bathroom smelt and the water at 7am which I ran for ages in the shower would not warm up which meant I couldn’t have a shower.

Free parking, lovely place, however the room advertised that I booked was not the room we were given, but still a very nice room non the less. 10 minute walk away not the centre for food and drinks, great seating facilities inside and outside of the property with a great view. Overall still very happy with my booking.

Stayed in a room on the second (top) floor. Really comfortable bed, nice big bathroom and a good shower. Was quite hot due to the weather so needed the very efficient fan on. Very convenient for Lake Windermere and Ambleside. Would stay again. No negatives on the hotel, other than the outside fish pond looks like it needs a good clean out and a filter for the benefit of the fish.

Ambleside is beautiful

The hotel itself feels a little tired, but the rooms have been fully refurbished and the beds are very comfortable. Our window only opened slightly, though a good floor fan was provided. Parking on-site is a big plus, and it’s an easy walk into town. Ambleside is absolutely gorgeous and well worth a visit.
