This was a wonderful B&B; the owners and the staff were friendly, helpful. The food/breakfast was great- home made! Quaint Victorian- all restored to make you feel you are back in time. Rooms very comfortable- slept great in the unique beds from the "era." We enjoyed the parlor. Since we were meeting friends it was so nice to have a place we could relax- and chat. I can't say enough good things about our stay- "5 STAR!" The owners make this a memorable place and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable Thank you!!!!!!!!.
Stayed at the Noon Collins on a recent Saturday. The owner greeted us, and was very welcoming. The building is old, so there are a lot of creaks in the floor boards, and the bed made squeaking noises every time we moved in the bed. The breakfast was superb! It's not the best B&B I've ever stayed in, but I would stay here again.
The inn is very cool, built in the 1800s. Have come here for many years with my son on our visits to Ebensburg, and for the first time came here with my girlfriend. She enjoyed it as well, we loved the old house and the feeling you've stepped back in time. Mrs. Ripley's breakfasts as delicious as ever, and we will definitely be returning.
Owners were not available to greet us upon arrival. We found the owner sleeping on a couch after looking through some cluttered offices and rooms. When we decided to stay somewhere else, they insisted we pay for the night. The woman kept asking for my credit card and pulled a bell from under some clutter and rang it at me, suggesting I should have known it was there. The pictures on line are misleading and the interior is dank and musty smelling.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The building itself was quite old, the room was small but quite clean. The televisions was dated. The only negative was 'ice' on the front steps. Parking is behind the building and not obvious from the street.
My family stayed at the Noon-Collins Inn in March. Despite the weather (it was cold and snowing), their reception (and rooms) were warm and inviting. This is an old property (1800s), so don't expect a Ritz-Carlton, but the place is clean, the rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfasts are outstanding. What makes the place special are the owners, Lew and Jeanette. Jeanette is a very special lady and is a joy to be around. She made special arrangements for an early-early breakfast for my family so we could be on time for the funeral were attending ad even was even thoughtful enough to give us a sympathy card while we were there. We had three rooms for our group and all were great. Some reviewers say that the rooms were "tired", well if you were built in 1834 you'd be "tired" too. It's all part of the place's charm.Motel 6s are modern, but I wouldn't stay in one. The parking lot is a bit hard to find it's behind the building), but nonetheless I highly recommend staying there.
The date carved on the outer wall of the Noon-Collins Inn says 1834 and a stay here will take you on a fun journey back in time. No cookie-cutter motel rooms here, each one has its own character and a private bath which is great. Innkeepers Lew and Jeannette are terrific hosts and they will share with you the history of the area and the care that they put into the renovation they did so that we can still enjoy the home today. Really enjoyed our stay!
We stayed here after attending the Cresson Lake Playhouse. The facility is nice, but very tired. Room was clean, air conditioning left something to be desired. Review got a full extra star because of the really excellent breakfast.
Rooms were clean. Small and quaint. Quiet and clean. Lew and Jeanette were welcoming. There for reunion at St Francis U. They seated us for breakfast with others attending the reunion. Right in the main area of town. Breakfast was great.
We stayed here while we attended an affair at St. Francis University which is 10 minutes away. The inn was quaint and the inn keepers charming but this place is not for you if you have to have deluxe accommodations. We visited in the summer and the a/c in the rooms is noisy and barely adequate, the bathroom was the size of a closet with a bowel and a stall shower, the sink is in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The breakfast was great and the host accommodated for food allergies. I would stay here again but not in the summer.
