I've stayed here several times on overnight trips. Many of the rooms have been remodeled. Although it's an older property, the place is well kept. There are several restaurants and store options nearby.

Room was clean but the facility is very old, had a musty smell (maybe old cigarettes), room walls with paint rips and stains. Good surrounding area with restaurants, Target, etc. About 45 min drive to Penn State.

Altoona was beautiful

The hotel was gorgeous upon walking in. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was slightly outdated but spotless. Its obvious that they're making changes and updating the rooms. The price was perfect and just what we wanted.

Check in was easy. The room was questionably clean. Some furniture, table. Lamps were sticky, TV did not work, two roaches on the wall in the sleeping area and small bugs in the shower area. People talking loudly and cursing in the back parking lot outside my window Past midnight on both nights. The cable box needed to be replaced, and the maintenance crew were very apologetic and fixed it during my second night. The entrance to the hotel and meeting and conference areas were very clean and inviting, however, the building that I was in to the rear needs work.
