Front entrance, dining areas, and pool were all very nice. Couldn't locate pool towels so had to walk back without a towel. Rooms were decent for a one night stay. Could use some updating throughout halls and maybe carpet removal as some areas smelled of stale cigarette smoke.

Staff was courteous. Staff met our needs in a timely fashion. Room was clean, but not exceptional; fingerprints on windows, no lightbulb, not a bright and cheerful room. For an older hotel, it’s a good value. Desk clerk gave a better deal since out room was not ready upon arrival. Since there is only one elevator, I’m concerned for the safety of occupants. I hope all the handicapped rooms are on the 1st floor with quickly assessable exits. Overall, it was a nice stay. As always, I loved the festive atmosphere.
Pool water was warm, air temperature was a little too cool.

No hot water the entire first day of our stay and did not have hot water till 8 a.m. the next day. We told front desk staff 3 times about it and was just told it was because there was so many people using the water. A big hotel like that should always have hot water. A whole day without hot water is unacceptable
