We thought that it was very nice, clean and the owners were very accommodating. If we needed any thing they were very helpful. We had to use two automobiles to take all of my two grandchildren's supplies to their college dorms and the owners did not charge us extra to park our vehicles on the lot. We would definitely return to The Relax Inn again.

Wanted a place to drop off and relax for a night. Booked a second because of the fantastic price. The bar was a nice stop off, wish I had the time to shoot a couple games of pool. Everyone was super nice and super helpful.

Nasty place i dont know how they still open smh .......... Nasty Nasty Nasty...i see why nobody was there when i was there creepy and disgusting ..i got a shot of henny its was 9 dollars for 1 shot thats krazy smh never never again

The rooms are very disgusting and beyond out dated....the people at the front desk are rude, the people in the bar area are rude as well they rob you and over price you for drinks, they charge you watered down shots for $12 and the short fat fire fighter is always snorting coke in the bathroom and is very slow she doesn't like being attentive to paying customers she smokes about 5 packs of cigarettes then plucks the ashes on the barbar i was only there for maybe an hour and she came out the bathroom sniffing and rubbing her nose talking about she was a fire fighter, then she started to make me feel uncomfortable talking about having sez with other women these people from the front desk to the bar need to be shut down they don't know how to run a successful business, I wouldn't recommend this place to a bum they make you feel very uncomfortable. They don't give refunds when they should after one minute of being in the rooms I was running for the door the bathroom had bugs in it on top of the crusty dirty wash cloths and non matching towels with the 1970 bed spread I will never and I mean NEVER stay there again they need their flag pulled its unsanitary an potentially unsafe they don't even serve food only dry French fries! 2thums down

We have stayed at this hotel several other times and it has not improved. There are not many in the area and a football game at Penn State that weekend filled those up and raised the price quickly. This hotel is old, run down and lacks many amenities, but we slept there only and were gone during the days for family activities. would I stay there again, maybe, never caught any diseases but it could use a clean up. if you go take some Cloroz spray with you and your own towels if you like them soft.

Room was OK with a fairly comfortable king sized bed. Our room was in the back near the trash bin which was overflowing. I gave the clerk my photo drivers license for a photo Id and never got it back. I called the next day and she said they would send it. It is two weeks out and I have not received it. I had to cancel my drivers license and order a duplicate.

Kingsize bed was fairly nw but that is all i have nice to say. Everything was filfthy. The towels were crusty and you could see where make up had been wiped off someones face and gung back up dirty. Did not even get in shower. Sprayed everything with bug spray and lysol. Still scared me and smelled like a dirty mildewed basement. I could go on but i think you get the picturd

Booked two rooms, anticipating a late arrival after a night football game. Price was by far the lowest in the area, but more importantly, they had 4 queen beds for us. Sleeping rooms were clean and comfortable. Linens felt crisp and new. Bathrooms needed a deep cleaning or or better yet, new tile. We weren't expecting much, based on the price...and the ratings on-line, but we were pleased with what we found at 2am. Check-in was efficient and polite...even with most of their guests for the evening arriving so late. I was beyond pleased when the manager called a few hours after we checked out and offered to ship a jacket we left hanging on a hook by accident. They do care, and are working on the property and have the basics of service down. Location was very easy on & off the highway, yet no highway noise due to being about 1/2 mile down country road.

I don't want to be rude about this because the owners are clearly working hard to improve the property, but I would not stay here again as there are lots of newer alternatives less than one mile away. This is an old one-story motel with parking right outside the door to your room. The room appeared to be clean although there was a small amount of mold in the shower tile grouting.

I completely agree with Hollybabe921. I purchased a room for my family for 2 nights through Travelocity. It was described as "dated." This place was disgusting. My husband walked into the room grabbed our two children and ran straight back out. There were cobwebs everywhere, a secondary door (that did not have a door knob) but a chair was wedged up against it. The bathroom had mold in the grout on the bathroom floor as well as down the tub drain. At that point, we were scared to even touch the bed. My youngest daughter was seasonal allergies so this was absolutely not going to be an acceptable place for her to sleep. I immediately called Travelocity to demand a refund. While I was on hold, the manager came CHARGING out the door at me in an effort to try and explain that I was not seeing mold, but we had our mind made up. Initially, the manager indicated that he was only going to be refunding me for one night; since we had already checked in, I could not be compensated. After I explained in my "Mama Bear," voice that my child would not be sleeping in a place that was not up to health department regulations, I was refunded my entire bill. My children were horrified to see a man running at their Mommy and to say the least I was pretty scared myself. We now refer to this as our "Horror Movie experience." We were able to find another hotel down the road and had an enjoyable time in Altoona; no thanks to the "Relax Inn."
