This is a nice hotel right by Blair County Convention center.
Exceeded expectations. So bored of 50-shades-of-beige corporate box hotels. This hotel, in contrast, had splashes of color, a terrific bed, above average toiletries, thick curtains for good sleep, helpful staff, but at a price far less then you expect. I like the Starbucks cafe idea. Good, free internet. Great value. Made my business trip more comfortable and fun than usual. Good work space. Handy room mini fridge.

Felt a little out of place with three little ones and our babysitter.It seemed like most guests I ran into were strictly there for business.The Lobby was very beautiful.Our room was nice but had a fairly large red stain on the carpet beside the bed.I was hoping to get a room with a balcony but we didn't.Otherwise very clean.The pull out sofa bed was plenty large enough for our teenage sitter.The pool was kind of small and the treadmills are directly facing the pool,which made my wife feel kind of uncomfortable,The bar was great but was a little disappointed when my wife and I went to get a drink at 11:30 p.m.and they were closed.It was nice to have a variety of shopping centers and restraunts within a five or ten minute drive .The next day we took our babysitter and three little ones to Del Grossos amusement park.It only took about twenty minutes to get there and they all had a blast.Probably would stay somewhere more family friendly if we visit again.

Let me start my saying that the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. When we arrived, the room had a musty, damp feeling. It was clean but still felt unclean. The bathroom was clean and the towels were FRESH. I feel, that for the price we paid for the room, breakfast should have been included. One morning, I went to use the pool and they were cleaning it and the hot tub seemed to be empty. All in all, a very expensive hotel for the area it is located. I was disappointed because my mom stays at this hotel name frequently and always has great reviews. I wish I could say the same!!!
We were in Altoona,Pa to see two baseball games between the Altoona Curve and the Harrisburg Senators and probably stayed at the best hotel in Altoona. This was our 2nd trip to Altoona and the 2nd stay at this Marriott. It would have been nice if there were more dining options in the hotel. They only had breakfast.

the hotel had a great location if you are going to the convention center. It is a few miles from the heart of downtown Altoona. Also close to the curve stadium. Overall great.
