Stayed here on my last biz trip to Alicante on the 7th floor. I am a member of Marriot Hotels and Spg Hotels that is why I always prefer these places. I alway look for a shower, the room came with bath but that's ok s the room itself was good and modern. The hotel is quite modern, everything is design and fashion and very central to Alicante city. It comes with rooftop pool and fitness centre. What I loved the most about this place is : - breakfast: very rich and great variety - drinks: Mario the bartender is the master and commander of Gin Tonic. I absolutely loved his knowledge of Gin Tonic and the way he mixed the taste of various gins with tonic and fruit. If you love gin & tonic then you have to meet Mario at the bar and let yourself be guided by his skills as you will explore a wonderful new world of G&T. Hope Mario will still be there on my next trip.
The hotel is a little out the way from the main town . But don't let this stop you as the bus stop is a 2 minute walk and No 2 goes into the town for 1.45 euro. The room's are super clean and very comfortable. We took an upgrade to a suite for a little extra cost. The pool is cold and there is just 8 sun beds so you have to be there 11 on the dot if you are planning never to leave the hotel. I would just recommend jumping on the bus with water and a snack and spend the day on the beach.
My Aunt and I stayed here for a week at the end of August to the beginning of September. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony for an extra €10 per day. It was not really worth it in the end as the Balcony overlooked the 12 lane roundabout/ motorway and the noise of the traffic was to much to enjoy sitting out there, we used it to dry our clothes after the pool. The pool was on the roof and is small but ok as not many were using it. The pool was dirty and had sand or mud on the bottom of it and also a few creatures which were dead, but still nobody wants a worm in their pool!!! I still used it as it was very hot and it was nice to use just to sit on the step in order to cool off. Sunbathing by the pool was very UNCOMFORTABLE as the loungers were all broken except for 3 of them, there was NO parasols on the roof by the pool therefore when the sun rose in the morning until it went down at night there was no shade from it at all if you wanted to lounge by the pool. Breakfast was not included and I would advise that if you only wanted a pastry and a cup of coffee that be sure to say this when you present yourself or you will be charged for a full breakfast at €14.90. Also be aware that the restaurant closes at 4pm until 8.30pm so if you want food you need to leave the hotel and venture into the city of Alicante or go to Sgt. Peppers just around the corner (turn right and its the first lot of umbrellas). Also the restaurant has the same menu for lunch as it does for dinner which includes sandwiches. I would have expected more of an a la carte menu for a four star in the evenings. Staff were beyond helpful and we were made feel at home. Israel and Dani were the two staff members we met most often and they were so chatty and helpful. Plus was that there was a supermarket directly outside the front door to the hotel. Go outside cross straight over and turn left around the corner and there it is, they do pastries and Tapas to take away. Other than the jacuzzi and small pool though I dont see this a a four star hotel. This hotel caters for business more than tourists.
We visited this hotel this week for a birthday and it was clean, spacious and relaxing. Breakfast was dainty but tasty. Rooms spacious and clean. Pool had a lovely view but not enough beds 🙁 so had to go to the beach every day instead 😀 We didn't eat at the hotel other than breakfast. Lots of local places around. Supermarket across the road behind the merca. Bus easily caught into town from lorenzo carbonell junction about 300m above the hotel - 1 or 2 into town. 2 to marina and beach.
Me and a colleague stayed 1 night at the NH in Alicante. It was very decent, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The roof top bar at the swimming pool is a bit sad. It offers a great view, but only if you stand. Once you sit down, you sit so low that all you look at is a concrete wall. Design is not their strong point ! But overall a decent and functional hotel and serves the purpose if you need a clean room and a bed to stay.
On arrival we experienced friendly helpful staff The room was modern clean and comfortable. Location convenient and great views from the rooftop pool. Lovely home baked breads and pastries at breakfast served with a smile.
Only stayed in the hotel for one night but had booked into a standard double Room and on arrival got upgraded to a junior suite. Room was so big and spacious. Ensuite in bedroom and then separate living area with another bathroom and a big balcony. Nice and modern. Friendly staff and was happy to give us a later check out for 15 euro. About 10 euro in taxi to be in centre for busy bars and restaurants.
Stayed at NH Alicante for one week at it was a very good stay. Rooms very good. Looked fairly new and there was nothing to complain about. It is a few kilometers from the city center, but not too long to walk there. The pool was not big, but it was there, clean and not crowded. Fantastic stay, very clean, all facilities that one could want and a very nice staff. Buses were very close and taxies not that expensive, so getting around was easy! Can definitely recommend this hotel.
lacks atmosphere (almost morgue like) with bland décor. room was ok but not as clean as you would expect. more 3 star than 4 noise from next doors balcony every night. they were loud and in the end needed to be told. Respect.
Really big modern room (and I didn't take the room upgrade offered). Rooftop pool with great views of the city as far as the eye can see, though it is tiny. I went in the evenings (5pm onwards) as it was so hot and there was only ever a couple of other people. I ate in the restaurant one evening and the service was excellent and the food delicious. There are 2 buses into town 5 minutes walk away, and a couple of local cafés 2 minutes walk away to the right, and a supermarket 1 minute away to the left. It's also about 10 minutes walk from the airport bus. The taxi-driver (I speak Spanish) advised me not to walk into the city centre as the road passed through a not great area, so I didn't. The bus service is so regular and goes through the city centre and all the way to the beach that I never felt I needed to. I heard no noise and slept really well (I had followed advice to ask for a back room on a high floor). I would certainly stay here again.
