Stayed for two nights (28 & 29 September 2017) with family. Drove down from Kochi airport (75 kms to be precise and it took 4 hours as we took a break of about 40 minutes on the way). The road was good, but single way (means there is no barrier to separate up and down traffic). The last lap of the journey is very circuitous and goes through villages and therefore takes longer time. We stayed in a Superior Lake Front Suite Room (Room no 201) on the first floor (in fact there is only one room - 301 - on the third floor. The room is tucked in a corner and gives wonderful view of the Lake. May be the best room. It was spacious with an ante room and a biggish toilet which was well done. From the bed one can have 180 degree view of the lake and it is very very enchanting. The resort is housed on an old building (may be 30 years old) and is going for extensive renovation soon. Has about 30 rooms all together. The swimming pool overlooks the lake and gives a felling of endlessness. The property has a good garden and gives a serene feeling. The dinning hall / café is on an attached building and one takes a nice walk through the building to reach there. The only problem may be for the senior people as the Resort does not have any lift. The people in the resort are excellent, to name a few Linu Thomas, Arun, Gladvyn, Lusitha (the last two in the front office) who make all efforts to make your stay comfortable. Even the Housekeeping people like Niranjan, Joshi were also very helpful. The food was good and not great. The chef did make some good dishes and the spread for both buffets and dinner was quite reasonable. One cannot complain. It had the variety. The best of course was the General Manager - always smiling and ever helpful - Mr Vipin Venugopal. He was always proactive and present everywhere to make the guests feel comfortable. I specially mention Mr. Venugopal as I had difficulty after booking. My booking was done after I talked to their Deputy Sales Manager Mr. Vineesh K S. He had sent me mail confirming the rates and the type of room and I got mail form the central office confirming the same (booking of Superior Lake Front Suite Room). When later I was talking to Mr. Vineesh he told me that I am booked for the Superior Lake Front Room! When I talked to him thereafter to make the amendment and confirm me the same he was dilly dallying and telling me 'untruths' saying that he has sent me mails correcting my booking. Exasperated I had to speak to the GM with whose intervention, thereafter, I started getting repeated mails from Mr. Vineesh saying that I am booked for the Superior Lake Front Suite Room. During the entire course of my discussion with Mr. Vineesh I specifically felt that he was trying to pull a fast one on me. He lacked giving the guest a sense of comfort rather irritated me. I have copies of his mails and recorded portion of our(mine and Mr. Vinees') discussion. Nevertheless, cutting this episode out, I found my holiday at the Resort very enjoyable.
It's a good resort. You can feel the fragrance of Lemon as the name of restaurant. The infinity pool with a view of vembanad lake make a awesome view. Please be aware before ordering masala buttermilk as they add green chilli. The food is really testy consider dinner or breakfast. The staff is really good. If your pocket allows you and you want to experience lavish lifestyle then try Leela or this resort is the value for money. Around 5k is the cost that should be paid for rooms including BF.
The large place in between beautiful nature. Rooms are so good to relaxing. We like the pool areas and garden is also beutiful like to stay there for week but we stay only two days . food also very yummy.
We had a very pleasant stay at this property. The staff ,Linu Thomas ,Arun, Ijaz, Tamal were all very courteous and helpful. Chef Jyotish and his team at citrus cafe were excellent. They attended very well to our food requirements. Rooms were clean and the view of the lake from the room was awesome. I highly recommend this property for families who are looking for a best place to stay at Alleppey.
Lots of expectation were there . But one thing I can sure you that the infinity pool others were usual . But worst thing thing is their food utterly waste . We the families are very much disappointed over there with their restaurant.
Brilliant Place with excellent view of the lake. We stayed here from Oct 6-9, 2017. Hospitality was wonderful, friendly staff and accommodative. Feedback : Pls include more vegeterian options to the food menu.
There are several of hotels near Vembanad and it is not easy to finalize one. Lemon tree as a brand is powerful and their pricing is reasonable. I am very happy to stay at Lemontree Vembanad - with a nice, clean and spacious rooms. Staff are courteous and helpful. the locale is beautiful. The extent of land is limited but it is fine in all aspects. The Food is quite expensive - The hotel should work on this for sure. It was expensive that we avoided the food in the hotel and tried outside.
Lovely location.. Its a beautiful property with a bit of antique look and icicng on the cake is their courteous staff. As soon as we reached, we were upgraded to the lake view room. We couldnt thank Lemon Tree enough for the gesture. The view from the room is breathtaking. We couldnt get our eyes out off the window. All the services were excellent may it even be room service facility or the special request at Citrus Cafe. They even ensured that our sight seeing needs were taken care of including the means of transport. Kudos to the entire Lemon tree team who made our stay a memorable one.
My stay was during last week of Sep 2017. The staff service was excellent & they provided nice hospitality with warm smile. Special mention to team from F&B Service Mr.Linu, Mr.Arun, Mr.Ijas, Mr.Tamal have gone extra mile to ensure we were made comfortable. Chef Jyothish had enough patience to ensure my son gets his preferred food. Mr.Arun of front office, ensured our stay in Alleppey is memorable. Location of the property is excellent with lake facing. However property is ageing with regards to infrastructure, no much activities for kids and not much choice in foods.
We came from Munnar to this property ..tired and exhausted ....but the moment we entered the property...it was like a breath of fresh air. We had taken rooms which opened into the pool....and the lake thereafter......its an amazing resort.......very courteous staff.....all of them.....right from room service guy to the restaurant manager.....the views from the resort is breathtaking.........Highly recommended....!!
