Where’s the lights
I booked one of the suite. Checkin process was very easy after booking with Hotels.com. I made it to my room, opened the door and stepped in. Allowing the door to close behind, I flipped the light switch only to stand in total darkness. Thank goodness for flashlights on cellphones. The entry of the room had a light switch with no overhead light or it being tied into an outlet to turn on a lamp. I get to the next light switch, yay lights. I go on about my process and check out the suite. It was very clean, comfortable but during my walkthrough there were 2 other light switches that did absolutely nothing in the room. The kitchenette area was stocked with coffee and tea bags. Staff were very polite and helpful.

The breakfast needs to have more waffle/pancake making stations. Waiting on staff to make waffles for people takes too long. Staff gets upset when you make your own because they were gone for 10 minutes. The pool towels need to be bigger. The towels that are currently there are great for toddlers but not adult swimmers.

I stayed in a King room on the 4th floor and it was lovely: clean, spacious, comfortable, in good condition. The woman at the desk was enjoyable. Cuyahoga Gorge Metro Park is 5 minutes away and provided a nice break and chance to stretch my legs. I would stay at this hotel again.

Property seemed to be newly renovated. Rooms were very clean. Water pressure in bathtub/shower was great. We found the bed very high off the ground.. Difficult for a senior to climb on the bed. Otherwise, the room was fine. Breakfast was horrible. Of all the hotels we have booked in the past that included breakfast, this was the worst. No milk, only soya. No regular bread for toast, just bagels. Ran out of coffee. Took 25 minutes to make new brew. Had crock pot for oatmeal. But when we lifted the lid, no oatmeal was made.

We used hotel as part of a trip to see the eclipse. ALL hotel staff were knowledgeable, polite & friendly. We were a late arrival- no issue. We needed more towels-no problem. The breakfast hostesses were cheerful, friendly & genuinely interested in helping make each AM a good start. Room ok, noisy at night d/t nearby train. Bed a bit hard. Sofa really stiff & not comfortable. Noisy AC. Great water pressure in shower & plenty of hot water! Overall we had a pleasant stay.

This is my 2nd stay here and i still love the property! The staff members are all incredibly kind and patient. I got an upgrade to a king suite again and the stay was lovely. The only thing was, they didn't have a playpen available this time, so my daughter who's 2 had a hardtime sleeping thru the night. But the lady at the front desk reassured me that it usually doesn't happen often, where multiple families request a crib.
