Had a wonderful time and will be back next time I am in Adelaide. well looked after and nothing was a problem that couldn't be resolved quickly. The staff were always pleasant and willing to assist where ever they could.
The Oaks is in a very central location with easy access to restaurants, bars and the CBD. It's also great if you are going to the Adelaide Oval. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall our room was clean and tidy. The main drawback for us was that our room on level 4 was directly above the swimming pool on level 3. This made it rather noisy when kids were playing in the pool as the pool area has open windows to the outside. Having said that we used the pool, spa and sauna on several occasions. The other drawbacks with our room was that our balcony view was of a multi story car park. We also experienced a sewerage smell when returning to our room if we had been away for several hours.
It's s. Ice apartment hotel booked a two bedroom apartment for one night over the weekend so that can go to cricket match at oval, rooms are of good size, clean and neat, Only issue we had is internet you can only get free wifi for 30 mins and then you have to buy in this era 30mins wifi is nothing lol, I travelled and stayed in lot of hotels wifi is free even in turkey but come to Adelaide(Australia) no free wifi. Apart for that our stay was good , staff is good
If you need a place to stay for a function at the Convention Centre or for an event at the new Adelaide Oval this is the spot. Within walking distance of everything you need both the Convention Centre and Oval are just across the road. A couple of minute walk to the train station and masses of restaurant's and night spots within a few hundred metres in every direction. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and are equiped with a kitchenette / laundry. With big screen TV , Wifi, comfortable beds and huge bathroom. It's room rates are way cheaper than Sydney or Melboure and service is adequate.
Very nice place to stay Clean & great staff Close to everything We enjoyed our stay at the Oaks Horizon we have rebooked over the Easter long week for 3 nights in the same room Location is perfect for us, specially having no car Transport is rightout the front
Great staff and location. View awesome. Room a bit worn but comfy beds. Would recommend as close to Casino and City and sporting events. Parking a bit tricky and limited and should be free for paying hitel guests.
Good size rooms, Kitchen area had every we needed including a nice little dish washer the apartment had a washer dryer, both top up powder was left each day, our dryer didn’t work but maintenance was very quick and because a part had to be ordered the hotel took our washing and dried it, the dryer was fixed the next day. Room was lovely and clean and kept so during our stay. Nice balcony with table and chairs. Staff friendly and helpful called a restaurant for us and booked a table. Short walk to city centre, Adelaide Oval, there was some work going on to the tram line but you can walk up to the next stop or get replacement bus. Would stay again.
We stayed a week at the Oaks Horizons as a family of 3. We were originally in a 2 bedroom apartment on the tenth floor. Like many of the other recent reviews on here the room was very tired, mould in shower, dirty carpet broken rangehood, stains and marks all over the walls. Unfortunately the power went out in our room for an unknown reason. We were then upgraded to an executive 2 bedroom apartment. Great for us as it was considerably larger. This was a great sized apartment, fantastic view but again as above dirty walls, huge stains in the carpet, nails/staples coming through the worn carpet. Nowhere near 4 Star. The facilities are good, the kids loved the pool area and the gym is adequate enough for a decent varied workout. The staff were excellent, if not for them this would be a 2 Star rating, extremely professional and accommodating. It’s just a shame the rooms don’t match their great work. The location is fantastic, easy walking access to Rundle mall & Hindley Street, Adelaide Oval and the river. Also you’re straight onto the numerous bike tracks. I presume the apartments are private owned and let back to the Oaks, however Oaks have to take responsibility it’s their brand on the building and this one is ordinary and no way 4 Star.
Stayed here for three nights while in Adelaide for the ODI cricket. Location was ideal, parking available onsite, clean rooms and great service. Balcony was quite small and the table was a bit wonky but nice to be able to sit outside. Room as serviced each day. Would stay here again.
We are a family of three, stayed for four nights in a 2BR apartment on the 7th floor. The apartment adequately met our needs, the bathroom was large with a spa bath and separate big shower. Water was hot and pressure was good. Beds were both king size and comfy. The kitchenette had no bench top space and the dining and lounge furniture was a bit too bulky for the room. The table and two chairs on the balcony were also too large, the second chair couldn't be accessed. The biggest let down was the cleanliness of the apartment. Shower was grimey and mouldy. The walls throughout apartment need a good washdown. The sliding door lock to the balcony was broken and remained unlocked for our entire stay (would be difficult to access though). We were also unhappy about the parking. We had to use Secure Parking next door. The car park was filthy and reeked of urine and vomit. Not a car park that any female should enter alone. The accommodation is well located though, close to restaurants, shopping and the River Torrens entertainment precinct. We would recommend a room on a higher floor to avoid street noise.
