was given a room on level 1. i asked if the room was quiet and was told yes. we were above venue with music till 1.30am. we complained and they suggested we move at midnight! the room the offered was marginally better but just above the original room. why were we told it was a quiet room at check in?? never comong back.

These properties are seriously outdated with broken amenities and a dirty/dingy bathroom with shower of a bath which I did not even think was a thing these days and while the location of the hotel is good in terms of being beach front, only the most expensive rooms have good beach views, the entry level rooms are set back with the view blocked but the sides of the hotel and if you are unlucky enough to get a 6th floor room in one of these disappointing rooms, then you also have no balcony roof which makes is difficult to even sit on the balcony, not to mention the strong Ausie sun flooding the room in the afternoon making it uncomfortable to even sit in the room. As disappointing as the room was, what frustrated me the most was entry key system. I had to replace my entry card no less than 7 times (and my wife 5 times) in 4 days so imagine tracking all the way up to the 6th floor only to have to track all the way to reception again, wait for what can be 30 minutes or more depending on people waiting for staff that is often only one person, get a new key and the track all the way back up to the room only to have to do it all again in the next 10 or so hours. The most frustrating experience I have ever had on all my vast travel experience.

I had no hot water during my stay for one of the days and nights and it wasn't until I flagged it that anything was mentioned. Apartment lacking a few amenities like bigger plates and additional glasses

The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a bit out dated, had remains of mould on the silicone around the bath, which didn’t have a plug. The iron was scorched (black) I asked for another one they happily replaced it with another.

I “upgraded” to a premium room which was an updated room. Apart from a lick of paint & some new furniture, the same bathrooms with black mold spots remained which was disappointing. Overall I feel it could be a little more premium. Staff were very pleasant. Close to everything you want for a stay at Glenelg. Great location.

Excellent location. Our room had beach and marina views. Easy walking distance to Jetty Road. Room could have been cleaned better. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was hit and miss. We had our towels changed every day, which wasn’t necessary. We weren’t always given face cloths but were then given two hand towels. Tea and coffee wasn’t replenished. We were on level 3 and Friday and Saturday nights were a problem with noise until after 12, which coming from the bar beneath us. We were there for seven days.
