Amazing last-minute staycation at The Mayfair! The building itself has such an old-world charm which gives a cozy feel the minute you enter from the hustle and bustle of Hindley Street. Hennessey rooftop bar was a great way to start the afternoon before our function with a few beers plus cheese and meats platter. It's close proximity to The Convention Centre where our function was made it an easy walk. The room itself was so clean with a beautiful bathroom and the softest, comfiest bed! The breakfast at Mayflower was worth the add on. Overall, would happily stay again and recommend.

There was no Guest Directory in the room, and therefore I had no idea what the iPad was for, which didn't work anyway. Room service was a joke (I had to call and ask if they had bread, which they didn't). A virtually non-existent mini-bar, and it seemed to run on minimal staff with very few room facilities or amenities. Not the great experience I was expecting.

Hotel was nicely decorated and had good location. The room had plenty of space and bathroom facilities were nice. The bed and pillows weren’t very comfortable. The pillows were from IKEA and the bed linen didn’t fit the bed correctly. The pillows did fit the case as they were to large. You can hear noise from the hall way and room next door. The carpet looked very dirty and needed to be cleaned as it was worn out and stained. We visited in September and was quite warm in the room and wouldn’t go below 19 degrees on the temperature control.

I’ve stayed previously and had a better stay, this time I was very let down and won’t return. Breakfast and staff were a massive let down, minibar choices were poor, housekeeping left cleaning cloths in our room and the bedding was stained and main blanket was yellowed. Only plus this stay was the property was convenient for where we needed to be.
