We found our apartment very comfortable and spacious with a good size balcony. Good facilities, walking distance to central shopping and parks. Area is a little grimy but didn’t bother us. Only issue was the front door kept sticking on the carpet which made it difficult to open. Good value for money.
Location is very nice and near a lot of lovely places lovely staff who are kind and greet you when you enter. There is a lovely pool and spa with amazing view and glass bottom which is so cool. There is also a sauna which is a great addition as well. Probably would recommend!
We had an apartment and it was perfect for our family. Spacious with all comforts of home. Swimming pool facilities and kitchen were handy. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a few blocks away from Gouger Street where all nice restaurants were.
Great location central to all Adelaide has to offer, great amenities making an easy stay. Well laid out apartments offering full sized fridge, large bed and a balcony with opening windows. Perfectly suited within a budget
We stayed at iStay Precinct in Adelaide for 4 nights. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the 6th floor of The Gallery building. The apartment had good views of the Adelaide hills (though a lot of them don't) and was clean. The amount of cutlery provided was poor. It is a 4 person apartment but with all four of us it was difficult only having 4 forks, 4 spoons, etc. There was only 1 mid sized pan and a frying pan provided for cooking which was not nearly enough for a 4 person apartment. We ended up having to go down to the front desk to ask for more where we were provided with 1 more pan so we asked for another as well. The balcony for the apartment was great. It had large sliding windows that when closed reduced the traffic noise at night. Also had a table and four chairs on the balcony. The apartment itself had a living area with seating enough for 4 people, except for the dining table which only had 3 chairs. We had to use a balcony chair for our 4th person. TV had foxtel and blu ray player, but the remote for blu ray player didn't have any batteries in it. The blu ray player menus were all in chinese and some DVD's we took wouldn't work on it. The remote for the TV was so worn the buttons no longer had any writing on them. We managed to guess which buttons to press by trial and error. There was also air conditioning unit (which works as a heater as well). The blinds are not blackout ones so it was quite light in the bedroom even at night time. The balcony doors were only locked by a push-up or pull down latch. It had a keyhole but no key provided to lock it securely. As my 4 year old son was in a bedroom with a balcony door this was a bit of a worry, but as my son isn't a wanderer at bed time it was okay. I think a key should be provided for these doors if the guests would like to lock them as the latch was easy enough for my four year old to lock and unlock them himself. The swimming pool, spa and sauna were in another building which meant going outside to get to it. The first time we went it was very crowded, but every other time it was pretty empty. They were all pretty clean. I found the car parking confusing. It was $18 per night, but you could only park in bays marked for iStay guests and these were scattered all over a large underground car park. When it is busy it is difficult to find that one empty iStay space especially since the car park does have some dead ends which you then have to reverse out of to find more spaces. Also a few redundant spaces that if you parked in you wouldn't be able to get out if someone parked behind you. Once parked there were no signs to the lifts to The Gallery building and we weren't told that the iStay apartments are actually in two buildings. Some signs to the lifts would be nice. The check in was easy and the staff were helpful with directions. The free bus stop is around 1 and half blocks walk away (5 to 10 mins). It is also in the same region as a Coles supermarket. I would stay here again but only if the price was cheap enough (we got a very good deal). The location was good. Main attractions are within easy reach (via free bus). The staff were helpful and friendly when asked for anything.
Apartment was dirty. Lights switches were grimey, entrance floor was sticky and covered in black footprints, bench tops dirty, kitchen cabinets had fingerprints all over them. We left the apartment cleaner than we found it. Clearly housekeeping is an issue at this complex as reviews months ago complained about the same issues. Car parking cost $18 per day extra and was a struggle finding a spot. Housekeeping staff not friendly, however front desk staff were very helpful.
Rooms were well priced, good location, friendly staff. Basic repairs and maintenance however is needed on the rooms. Missing cooking utensils, trays for ovens, and some cutlery made cooking in rooms frustrating.
The hotel is in a great location and is clean and spacious. We just had so many irritating small things happen that it marred our experience. Despite booking the room in July (nearly 6 months in advance and requesting a car park), we didn't get one for the first night. All the batteries in the remotes were missing. We called reception and were told we had to come and get replacements - a trip down the elevator and across to another part of the hotel. We made dinner only to find they only had 2 forks and 2 knives - in a family room (by the way - the room could really do with a cheese grater). Once more a long trip to retrieve cutlery. The toilet/shower door wouldn't lock.. and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work either. We tried for three days to get the dryer to work in the bathroom - even wasting our 30 minutes of wifi a day downloading a manual for the machine. Just never worked. All the frustrations added up. The place cost us us nearly $300 a night and I expected at the very least. For things to work. Apart from that - the beds were comfortable. The TV worked. The pool was fun (if very crowded). It was a 20 minute walk to see the NYE fireworks so location was good. Also 30 minute walk to Zoo. However, the staff were not helpful, so wouldn't stay here again.
not too much clean, the most stupid things was that you have to lave your car in front of the parking gate and go to reception and ask somebody to open the gate, at least they can put a ring bell for that.
stayed for 5 nights in a compact 2 bedroom apartment. Arrived early Boxing Day and Katie was more than helpful in getting our room ready early. All the staff from then on were friendly and helpful with information if asked. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool/ spa area was also clean and very inviting. Within walking distance to the CBD. Would recommend this accomodation if staying in Adelaide.
