We mentioned it was my wife’s 30th birthday the day before to Hans. He then surprised us with glasses of bubbly, birthday cake and cocktails. The manager was also really welcoming and they made the day special. Really grateful for the day we had and service we received.

VERY GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE ! ONLY on the Beach and Belgium Cafe was the service not so good as in the Restaurants specialy Fish Market & Brazilian Meet Restaurant !!! The Hotel is OK but already old inside. BUT in ALL it was really GOOD !!
We stayed on the premium all inclusive package and on the whole it was good. We did feel a bit like second class citizens in some of the restaurants!! Our check in was efficient ( even if it was 2am!!) and when we asked reception if there were any restaurants open he offered us room service FOC....something we didn't expect and were very grateful. The buffet restaurant is excellent, with plenty of choices for breakfast and lunch. The salads at lunch are amazing!! We decided to eat in Circo the first night and being on the "premium all inclusive" we were given a small menu to choose from. We expected this and had read the reviews on this. What we didn't expect was to constantly have to ask to order or for a drink. I believe we were invisible to the waiting staff!! In this restaurant there is a major difference in the portion sizes of the all inclusive compared to al la carte. My husband ordered the mozzarella & rocket salad, which had about 6 leaves and a small piece of mozzarella cut into 3!! We saw other diners receiving their much larger portions. This was not a good impression on the first night. We did decide to try Circo again for lunch later in our holiday...........but again very disappointing!! Byblos and Belgian Cafe were good and we enjoyed the food. The fish Market was disappointing..........over cooked fish twice on the same night.......we eventually gave up and drank the tasty martini cocktails!! Chamas was our favourite - Jai was a great waiter, who went above and beyond what was expected!! He was attentive and offered great conversation and answered all our questions. The Bayshore is also good for lunch, albeit sometimes a bit chaotic!! Ellison looked after us here!! Godfrey at the hotel pool bar deserves a special mention...always a smile and makes great cocktails!! The hotel room was a good size, with a very comfy bed!! In summary, it is a great hotel, good location and stay away from Circo....there's plenty other restaurants to choose from!!
Am a returning customer to this hotel after almost 3 years of staying at different hotels in Abu Dhabi and other cities and I must say the experience I had doesn’t encourage me to come back to this hotel. Starting from check in experience where I have noticed that by mistake the hotel included in my profile 2 beds room instead of single bed room although am coming through my company with single occupancy!! I was also given a city view which is noisy although from the lobby and car parking occupancy I could say not too many people were their which means that the hotel offered me the minimum. When it comes to the room, for the first time I come to a hotel room and I dont find hand towels in the toilet (only 3 shower towels). Even the bathtub was dirty with hair ! Lastly the check out experience was very good although there was no question about how my stay was so customer feedback is not that important to the hotel I guess. All other hotels I stayed at in last few years in Abu Dhabi strive for an excellent customer experience which I didn’t feel with such hotel although in previous years the hotel was offering an excellent service.
Stayed at the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi with family for Christmas and New Year. The hotel was beautifully decorated and had a proper Christmas feel from the moment you entered. The staff at reception were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. The food is superb in selections buffet restaurant.. great choice and even the fussiest of eaters will find something tasty. We had the premium All Inclusive so were able to try all the other restaurants. The Fish Market.. a fish lovers delight. The scallops are a must. Chamas.. our favourite. How many different types of meat can you eat in one night, so tasty you don’t want to turn your card to red! The pool bar.. Godfrey thank you for looking after us and greeting us with a smile every morning. The swimming pool.. Charitha thank you so much for your 5* attentive service. You made our stay perfect. You are a big asset to the team. All in all a great holiday in a great hotel. We would definitely return. Thank you Intercontinental for making our Christmas and New Year a memorable one. 👍🏼

We enjoyed our stay in July that much that we decided to try this hotel again for our October break. We were not disappointed at all. From the moment we stepped out of the car our luggage again was swiftly off loaded and a familiar face, Shiju , came straight over and he remembered our name and room number from our previous stay so that was lovely. He escorted us straight to reception where the duty manager checked us in very efficiently and gave us yet another lovely suite. After having a bite to eat Shiju showed us to our room where he had made a lovely towel crocodile for us, he checked we were all ok with the room and left. What fantastic people work here. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean as of the last time and lovely toiletries. The espresso machine is a big bonus and having a fridge to cool the water down was wonderful. We stayed all inclusive and I must say this is really fabulous as you can eat at a lot of different restaurants in the hotel and drink in the bars and you don't really have to go out in the heat if you don't want to. You are not treated any different in any restaurant if you are paying or are on the all inclusive rate, Everybody is treated the same and has the same food Unlike last time we were there,now the outside seating was all open and in all the areas and bars there were artists performing and these were really good. It was great to sit in the outside space and listen to live artists playing and singing and the music varied depending on which restaurant bar you were sitting next to. We ate in all the restaurants and in the Cho Goa restaurant which is the only one not in the all inclusive package. Even so this restaurant is within the same price range as a good Asian Fusion restaurant in the UK and I must add the food was delicious. You must visit it for yourself and the music in there is great. Every restaurant we visited I wrote an honest review of and put it on TripAdvisor and I must add that the management, chefs and the waiting staff and of course the food are all top notch. We never had a bad meal at all in all the twenty days of our stays and never received bad service from anyone. The lady who serviced our room was lovely and asked us every day if we were happy and did we want anything in particular or could she do anything to help us enjoy our stay more. We like the pool on floor 3 as it is lovely and quiet and the staff there were so polite, we were served a lot by Godfrey and Martin and I must say these two guys are so professional and polite that they are a credit to the hotel and had amazing smiles every time you saw them. We also enjoyed a drink in the chamas bar where we were served by Larry who again was very hardworking and very professional and polite in his approach to all customers, he would always say hello if he saw you around the hotel. I could go on mentioning all the staff as they all deserve a mention but I would have lists very long so just a massive thank you to them all and you are a credit to the IHG group Our room and the service from all departments was yet again of a very high standard and yet again made us have a fantastic stay. We checked out with Raad And Geoffrey and they both made sure that we were happy with our stay and made the whole process very efficient and slick for our departure. With this all in mind we would visit this hotel again and plan to bring family next time so they can experience the fantastic experiences we have been so fortunate to receive. Great Hotel with exceptional service. As being a platinum Ambassador I really like that hotel too much and I am always coming to stay here. All inclusive package is always amazing. The beach is wonderful. The service in the restaurants is very special. I would like to thank Mr Amr Tarek the reception supervisor for his excellent and great service, he is always dealing with high professionalism and exceeding my expectations more and more for every stay. Will be back again and again because it is very nice hotel and especially because of the great service by Amr.
Fourth time at this hotel. We stayed over Xmas. The hotel was well decorated for Xmas with great seasonal atmosphere. Very convenient location with a good choice of restaurants all with a high standard in food and service. What stands out in this hotel is the great service throughout. Courteous, friendly and helpful. Very nice room with all amenities. Excellent beach and poolside facilities. We paid for the Club lounge which is worth the extra as the serve breakfast , afternoon tea and evening drinks with canapes. Service in the lounge is friendly and very helpful. Would not stay anywhere else in Abu Dhabi.
