A very professional run hotel, staff exceptionally accommodating, good menu choice, and central to the city. My one concern is the number of car parking spaces are very inadequate for the number of rooms the hotel has.

Great hotel with a really comfy bed. There was a fair amount of road noise, but not too much. Parking was good, but had to double park to get the code. Would for sure stay again.

Got parked easy enough and just a short walk to town. Check in was simple and the room was clean and bed comfortable. We upgraded from a basement double to a deluxe king. For a deluxe room I would expect there to be miniature toiletries available - more particularly a little bubble bath option since there was a bath in the room. Also tried calling guest services to get more tea and milk but the phone had been disconnected: plugged it back in and tried phoning a couple of times but nobody answered so ended up having to go to reception to get more.

The Sandman is a great spot close to Union Street ( main street for food and drink) as well as other pubs and eateries. The room has a fridge and microwave so taking food and drink back to the room is very convenient. The only drawback to the room we stayed in was that although it was compact and had some nice additions, there was no space for anywhere to sit. This made the benefits to having a microwave and fridge a little redundant as you had to eat/drink in the bed.

I've been staying here for years now but feel the quality of cleanliness in the rooms has severely dropped. In the room I was staying in: • the kitchen sink still had water lying in it and water marks. • there was spilled milk in the fridge door that had clearly been there a while. • there was marks in the bottom of the toilet. • the hand soap in the bathroom was empty. • there were crumbs and hairs in the hairdryer well of the desk. • there was dust on the bed-side lights.

Nice room and good to see it contained an ironing board and iron and a microwave and a fridge. I did not use any of them but it was good to know for future stays. Great looking lobby and good breakfast. Close to city centre amenities albeit at a slight remove.

Lovely hotel, great staff, fantastic whisky bar and perfect location for His Majesty's Theatre about five minutes walk away. Very clean, comfy bed, spacious shower and good WiFi. Highly recommended.
