Enjoyable stay at very good family hotel. Good rooms and facilities and welcoming staff. Nice bar and some nice touches around the hotel. Would recommend for anyone looking for a friendly non-chain hotel

Pleasant place, good room and proper milk for coffee and Tunnocks Caramel. Would stay more frequently but the onerous room cancellation terms mean that not ideal if foreseeable weather conditions etc result in a delay in arriving.

Great stay again, had a problem with hot water taking a long time to come through and was looked into straight away. Comfortable bed, all facilities you require , caring and helpful staff. Great breakfast too

A colleague and I spent one night at Palm Court Hotel and we had a good impression from the moment of booking on-line. I phoned to check about parking and the receptionist was very helpful. On arrival this pleasant, professional and efficient service continued. Our twin room was comfortable, very clean with ample facilities and complimentary refreshments. It was very quiet overnight and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed live music in the bar, it being Burns Night.

But we would choose this hotel from the many in Aberdeen even if we didn't have dogs. Every member of staff we met was extremely pleasant and friendly - from the cleaner in the corridor to the barman, to the waiter in the restaurant. We had a simple lunch in the bar, where dogs are allowed. It was only soup, a roll and a glass of wine, but was beautifully presented and obviously freshly cooked. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was pretty special. We ignored the main courses and just ordered all the starters - each one showed imaginative cooking and was so tasty. Lovely cheese board with just the right amount of each cheese and extra rolls of the kind we'd enjoyed at lunch time were willingly supplied. The room was clean and cosy. The only thing I'd find fault with was the shower which was of the very high up, fixed type. I do think that if the shower is like this, there should also be a bath for proper washing.

This was a very pleasant weekend visiting family members. The staff were very helpful and attentive, even allowing us a way to our room without having to use stairs. The meals were very good. I suppose if we had any negative at all, it was just the noise from room above - not that the people in it were doing anything wrong, it was just that every footstep back and forward caused a lot of noise. That would not stop us staying again, as everything else was just great.

Stayed midweek for 2 nights in one of the twin rooms. The room was spotlessly clean on arrival and the beds were super comfy! We had to do quite a few up and down stairs to get to the room but that wasn't a bother to us. The room had a kettle with tea and coffee plus some biscuits, there is a mini bar that also keeps your milk (provided with room). There is an iron and an ironing board in the wardrobe but there is no hairdryer so you will need to bring your own. I booked in at this hotel because when I went to look for a room it was one of the cheapest around (including the large discount hotels) and I'm so glad I did because it was a brilliant stay. The staff are really friendly and super healthful.

This is our local and we regularly pop in for a drink. The Bothy Bar is very comfortable, has a good range of beers, wines and spirits and the staff are friendly and helpful. They do show Sky Sports sometimes but you can usually find a corner for a chat if that’s not your thing. I’ve dropped it a star as the bar and restaurant menus dont have a particularly varied vegetarian range of choices which is a shame as we’d eat there more often if it did. Having said that this is a nice welcoming local.

I booked the room for my cousin and he had no complaints- was an excellent rate too £42.50 after my 15% discount was applied, room only. We met him in the bar, again no complaints, then 4 of us proceeded to the restaurant. This was 2nd Jan and some sort of shortened menu appeared to be on offer - fair enough I suppose although it wasn’t mentioned at any stage. Said menu was littered with typos. My partner had ‘Steak Pie and Fires (sic)’. I had tortellini. The Steak Pie turned out to be chicken and ham. Seems chef had neglected to advise the waiting staff that the former has run out - heaven knows why since we were first in there and other diners totalled 8 persons. It wasn’t very good and so my partner asked for a 2nd portion of ‘fires’ instead. My tortellini were cold. Otherwise no complaints about 2 duck mains, nor the starters / desserts. They did not charge for the Pie, but did add on the 2nd chip portion. I just feel a bit more attention to detail in the restaurant would be warranted, for the prices charged. But the hotel itself is good and I would recommend it overall.

Having had a few issues with the website on booking, it turned out that I had booked for the wrong night. Not only did they find us a room but they honoured the free prosecco and did not charge us for breakfast. Excellent customer service. Room was well equipped and bed was comfortable. A great wee place.
