Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aberdeen

Had business in Aberdeen, SD this past week and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. There is a great food establishment situated in with this hotel and a Starbucks just across the street. Great place for meetings and rest! Highly Recommend this stay.

This hotel has the features you expect for a Holiday Inn Express. It is odd that it is so close to a Hampton Inn but lacks a fridge or microwave oven that are standard in Hampton Inns. The staff members are excellent. The breakfast was OK but not anything special. The hotel's connection to the Convention Center is a plus, but otherwise it is a pretty ordinary Holiday Inn Express that does nothing to stand out from the crowd.

This hotel was very clean and the girl at the front desk was very nice. I had to cancel one of our rooms and that was bit of a hassle for group sales. My e-mail confirmation showed 1room but the front desk showed 2. The gal at the front desk was very apologetic and very reassuring we would only be charged for one room. Other than the run around with trying to cancel a room, it's worth the money and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was also good.

This is a nice hotel with a convenient location walking distance to shopping, food, etc. We stayed for 2 nights in a standard room. The rooms are nice and spacious. Great shower! Our daughter is 13 years old - but she still enjoyed the slide. The pool area is great for younger kids. Breakfast was great - lots of variety.

Great location and the pool slide. That is the two positives. Our Grandchildren couldn't stay in the pool because they started coughing and skin burning after 1/2 hour. The ladies pool bathroom toilet didn't work. There was mold along the poool pillars. I took a picture and will attach later. Front desk staff not that responsive. Didn't go 100% to try and satisfy.. We stayed in first floor suite. Walked in and it smelled dusty or animal smelling. The beds are about 24 inches off the floor and they are terrible to sleep on. Our breakfast the last two mornings was terrible. Bread was all dried out like it was sitting in the case for days. One omelet left which was rubber along with the auto making pancakes. Our granddaughter threw up after eating breakfast. It was the worst. If you are looking for a good place we have had good luck at the Hampton which is next door to Holiday Inn. The breakfast is fabulous, beds awesome and pool is good but no slide. The hotel entranceis very welcoming and clean. The Marriott Suites is also a good place to stay. You can get a room with a separate bedroom to the living room/office. They also have a kitchenette and full refrigerator/freezer, closets and walk in shower. Breakfast is good but not as good as Hampton. Those two places I would recommend.

Stayed here for Y tournament games. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms nice. Bed comfortable although the couch bed needed a new mattress. Breakfast delicious with a great selection. Need better ventilation in pool area, chlorine awful. Great location!

Staff very friendly, helpful and nice. Large King Size room, but the bed seemed like it needed replacing, Dusty and dirty around the refrigerator, otherwise nice and clean. This is a kid friendly hotel, with a water park. Just need to keep a quiet wing for those without kids and barking dogs. Nice breakfast!

Very nice clean hotel with courteous staff. We came to town with other families for the state swim meet. The hotel would've gotten 5 stars except that the smell of the chlorine in the pool area was overwhelming and many of the kids started coughing once they started swimming and we weren't able to swim for very long. These are all kids that swim every day and this is not typical. Would like to stay at the hotel for our next trip because it's a really nice pool area, hope they get the chemical issue figured out.

Was luck that Serge was there at arrival. He helped direct me to parking and then came to open the back door. He was great. The hotel is what you would expect - the lobby area worked well for a quick pre-meeting. I'll stay again.

I stayed here many times ,very convenient location...few mins from airport and industrial area and just opposite you have Starbucks and there is a great restaurant just behind the hotel and across the hotel there are bunch of other eating place like pizza hut and ruby Tuesday .Overall good place in a convenient location
