Overall it was ok for one night. Just with the all inclusive it was difficult to feel like to was worth it. No one ever answered the phone. We had a difficulty with the power outlets in the room. Someone had switched them off prior to our arrival so I had to go down the the lobby since no one answered the phone and had to stand in a long line to get help. Once someone came to help and he discovered the issue, felt like he thought I was dumb for not knowing when why would it be off to begin with. Kinda rude. Food and drink were hard to come by. We ordered when we were in line and we had to hunt her down to get it. The bar was usually full at the pool and the front. Crowed is an understatement. Service was non existent, no one ever asked if we needed anything. Could’ve get ahold of anyone to make a reservation. We were able to get into Mazal after a 30 minute wait. That was the most worthwhile thing. Lines are long, humid hotel, not a lot of service. Not worth the all inclusive for one night or a week stay. Will not stay again.

The hotel was nice and clean, I loved how close our room was to the ocean. On our last night we heard the whales swimming nearby. It is a bit far from the center where the Malecon is located so transportation is a must. The entertainment and shows were great. Food was okay, my favorite restaurant was Cocomar (seafood) but only available 12-5 so having any outside planned activities, it was difficult to make it on time. Arriving at the hotel from the airport, we were not greeted by front desk staff. The person who checked us in was a bit rude and forgot to mention a few important things..like the hotel website we need to make dinner or other reservations. It wasn’t until I asked about it that he sent us the link. The rest of the staff at restaurants, bell guys, concierge, bars and room service were polite. The Italian restaurant staff even sang for my Dad since we were celebrating his birthday which made him feel extra special. Overall I would stay here again.
