I am a government contractor and given my line of work, I often have to travel last minute and then those travel plans may change a day later, etc. Just this week along I’ve purchased 3 plane tickets on Orbitz and then had to cancel and book another flight to somewhere else! I’ve had to cancel and redo flights so many times I’ve lost count, and no matter what has transpired, I’ve never had to pay any fees. Orbitz staff has always been courteous and understanding of my position and requirements and NEVER let me down (even though I can’t really talk about my job and the reasons why in great detail). The process to book my trips is easy and I’ve also asked for a price match and been given a rebate because I booked something and it was cheaper somewhere else. Are there hiccups from time to time with Orbitz? Of course, it’s like that anywhere you go in the service industry. But Orbitz’s ability to mitigate larger problems has led me to become a lifelong customer.
