Tried to book my travel. Purchase could not be completed so I went to expedia and booked my flights there.

My credit card was charged, then charges removed, over 15 times. The purchase could not be completed online. I had to call by phone. The agent said the flight was now oversold, the fare was no longer available. And that the only way I was able to get on the flight I wanted was by adding a hotel stay (which I didn’t want, don’t need, &I won’t use). I had to pay $50 for the hotel and that was the ONLY way I cld but a seat on that flight. I agreed to it bc that was the only flight that could work with my schedule. I won’t even use the hotel that the agent uphold me. I was very disappointed with this experience; I’ve had good experiences with Orbitz in the past, but I don’t think I’ll be using this site in the future.

I like the ability to scan a few days before and after date selected to get lower price, but it bugs me that Orbitz does not provide the airline with our mileage account number (even though I store that on Orbitz) nor did it let us pick our own seats. I had to go to the airline afterwards and get that data entered, which is too much hassle.

They were not able to help! I made a reservation but did not receive a confirmning email. Wanted to do a prepaid but was told I cound not, and there was problems with the web site.

Orbitz is where I book 90% of my hotels. Love it, and always receive great customer service when I have a problem.

I made a mistake when I made my hotel booking by booking for five days instead of four and was unable to change it, despite having booked 9 weeks in advance and realising the mistake within a couple of hours. I was under a lot of pressure booking – 32 people are looking at this, there is only 1 room left (which surprised me in view of the fact that I was booking so far in advance) 52 people have booked in the last 10 minutes … etc. I glanced at the Terms and Conditions and noticed that the first lines said: We understand that you may need to make changes at times and such cancellations and changes are FREE … I thought, that’s okay then – not that I was expecting to want to make a change. I didn’t notice that the next lines specifically said that the booking I was making would not be flexible in any way. When I realised my mistake, I rang your US offices from the UK but the assistant could not help.

I lost $200 on this booking and, all in all, I can’t say I’m thrilled with the service.

I was in a hurry and booked a room at an “airport” hotel. Turns out, it was nowhere near the airport. Since it was non-refundable, I lost money since I needed to stay near the airport. I won’t be using Orbitz again.
