The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the distance from the town of San Pedro. Ten miles is a lot when the mode of transportation is a golf cart and the road is bumpy and dusty. However, if you’re looking to get away from the town and just have a relaxing trip, there is no place better than Sapphire Beach Resort.

Our experience in Belize was incredible, and X'Tan Ha Resort played a big part in making our trip so memorable. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Mairia, Elias, and Lorenzo for their outstanding support throughout our stay. They assisted us with transportation, tours, and any questions we had. Their responses via WhatsApp were always incredibly fast, making it easy to plan our activities and enjoy our vacation without any stress. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel valued as guests and truly helped make our stay perfect. We were supposed to be picked up at the airport and had paid for transfers through Belizean Shores. No one was there to pick us up. An airport employee CALLED Belizean Shores and they scrambled to hire a taxi for us. The taxi driver was then paid by the resort. Our luggage was placed in a wheelbarrow and taken to our “2 bedroom beachfront” townhome. The sargassum smell was so bad no one could sit on the balcony and we were shocked to see the “4.5 star accommodations.” They were anything but. The decor was terribly dated, beds were like sleeping on dormitory mattresses. There was no hot water and the water pressure was horrible. Thankfully, the bartenders at the pool were great and we gave it a full day to see if things got better. My youngest daughter slept half the day due to the excessive noise and heat in the upstairs loft with two twin beds that they called a bedroom. There was no closet and no window in the loft. It was a hot, dark space with two twin beds that were hard as rocks. We left the second day into the stay. Booked another resort. They not only charged us for the entire stay but also charged us for round trip transportation that was NOT provided. The “room service” is from another resort close by that drops off food at Belizean Shores. There is no on premises restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. The reviews of this place are extremely deceptive and I would not suggest staying there unless you know what you’re signing up for.
