Arriving in San Diego

Your plane will land at San Diego International Airport, situated about three miles northwest of the city’s central business district. If you arranged to rent a vehicle during your stay, a shuttle service will take you to the rental agency to pick it up. Once you get settled into your hotel, you’ll be ready to explore this lovely California city. San Diego experiences mild weather throughout the year, so pack lightweight clothing no matter when you’ll be in area. Winter temperatures are generally in the mid-sixties, and in the summer, average highs are in the mid-seventies. Most of the region’s precipitation falls between December and March, so pack your rain gear if you visit during these months.
