Phuket International Airport (HKT) has two terminals that are used for international and domestic flights. In February 2014, the airport added Terminal X which is now used strictly for charter flights.

With the number of passengers on the rise, Phuket International began a $188 million expansion that will help to increase the capacity of the facility to 12.5 million passengers per year.

This renovation will include a new international terminal, improvements to the current domestic flight terminal and other major airfield improvements.

The zone boarding system can be a little confusing. You may have to work up through the crowd to see where each zone is lining up. They don’t make it very clear, but just go with it.
