The Space:

Wake up in a geodesic hideaway high above Yucca Valley. Through oversized windows, watch the Mojave from rose‑gold dawns to starry night skies. Dive into the 40‑ft lap pool with underwater viewing windows, then relax in the spa as silence settles over 112 acres. Miles of rustic trails and an observation deck offer front-row views of every sunset and starry sky.



Indoors, concrete floors, a spiral staircase, and designer furnishings soften the crisp geometry, all powered by an 11 kW solar array with battery backup, a 400‑ft well, and propane redundancy. A BBQ and mid century fire pit extend living outdoors, while the dome’s bold design - featured on the cover of Dwell magazine - anchors the experience. Hawkeye Dome pairs true off‑grid independence with effortless comfort, just eight minutes from the cafés and galleries of Old Town Yucca Valley.



Important Note About Pool Area

Please note that due to county regulations, the pool area is currently fenced off. As a result, the views may appear slightly different from what is shown in the listing photos upon arrival. We appreciate your understanding as we comply with local requirements to ensure safety and compliance.



Guest Access:

The estate spans a vast area, so its exact limits can be hard to pinpoint. As a rule of thumb, feel free to roam anywhere you don’t see fences, homes, or clearly private spots. For the best views and easiest trails, head south up the hill or strike out to the west—you’ll discover the most scenic hiking there. Along the way, you might cross paths with fellow explorers or friendly neighbors.



The Neighborhood:

The dome is in the Town of Yucca Valley, which has great antiques and coffee shops. It's 15 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown.

Dani and James, both Yucca Valley natives, are available to handle special requests, provide local recommendations, and share insider tips. The cabin pictured is not an extra accommodation with a bed. It is meant as an observation deck, sunset and stargazing area and a little retreat from your retreat.



Please note that the pool area includes two low-profile safety fences installed near the pool, as required by the city. These were added for safety compliance and may not appear in some older photos. The pool remains fully accessible and usable.



To ensure we can continue providing premium pool and spa services despite high fuel and delivery costs, a deposit is required for heating. For longer stays, please contact us to discuss special arrangements. We understand fees aren’t fun, but they help us deliver the exceptional experience you deserve.



✦ Pool heating: $200 per day and reaches 84°F; request 24+ hours in advance

✦ Spa heating: $30 per day - on-demand; heats to 102°F; please keep lid on when not in use

✦ Pet fee: $100 per pet

✦ Extra guest (above 4): $50 per night

✦ Unauthorized late check-out: $100 per hour

✦ Access via dirt roads off the highway - drive slowly; all standard cars can make it.

✦ No events, weddings, or photoshoots without prior written permission.
