Streamside Cottage Half Mile to Town of Woodstock

Our stream side cottage is privately located on five park-like acres that are landscaped with beautiful gardens. Guests have access to the stream where you can swim, skip rocks, or simply sit and meditate on the nature all around you. We are less than a mile from the center of Woodstock, where you can find a wonderful assortment of restaurants, shops, art galleries and activities.

The cottage has everything you need to relax and enjoy a private getaway in the Hudson Valley. Our guests have all told us how perfectly situated this spot is.

Woodstock is an hour from the airports in Albany and Newburgh, 2.5 hours from JFK, Newark, and La Guardia airports, and a two hour drive from Manhattan. We are also in the area for popular ski areas - Belleayre - Windham and Hunter mountains.

The photos are accurate. The cottage is a separate building from the main house. The cottage building is part of a two car garage and is totally private. The main house is located on the property next door but not connected. We have a camera on our house pointing up the driveway, and none on or around the cottage.

Great host, perfect location (close to town but tucked into the woods next to an amazing creek). Super clean and comfy place. Loved the foyer rug and the cotton sheets and bedcover!..wonder why most places use those weird microfiber synthetic fabrics?Peaceful and fun area, we had a great time skiing and hunting for antiques!

The host, Jane, was super helpful. One thing that stood out about the place is waking up there, the bedroom as windows on all sides which you can only experience when you are there. In other words way better than the pictures. Every morning we made coffee and enjoyed it next to the creek. The rest of the days we enjoyed live music Colony (look for the open mic night) and of course had beautiful hikes.

This loveley cottage is exactly as it looks online. Relaxing by the stream was so peaceful and we saw local wildlife. Very close to Woodstock which is a cute town with lots of restaurants. We came up to visit Northlake State park which was 30 min away. Jane is also very nice host.

Where do we start? We wanted something comfortable and peaceful for a short getaway and the Streamside Cottage was beyond our expectations! First off, it was very clean but also so cute and charming. Plenty of space for the two of us. Each morning, we had a peaceful breakfast on the deck and enjoyed the sounds of the creek. Kitchen provided everything we needed (loved that it had a toaster oven). Enjoyed some beautiful sights at Kaaterskill Falls hiking trail close by. Also, walked under a mile to get to town--loved that! If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate. Thank you Jane for sharing your space with us!

Delightful cottage by a stream

We loved our stay in this lovely little cottage. It was very clean and well taken care of. Jane is a welcoming helpful host! We had very hot weather during our visit and appreciated the very efficient air conditioning after being out all day exploring the Hudson River Valley area. Beautiful property!

Jane’s pristine cottage on a beautiful piece of land in Woodstock was amazing! Everything is described in the listing, excellent access to downtown Woodstock, and a perfectly appointed space for a long weekend. Would recommend to anyone visiting town!
