Woodstock Historic Artist Estate - The Museum House

The property is located within a 10 minute walking distance to the center of the historic town of Woodstock, NY. The 2500sft house is the former Museum House that used to hold Mabel Marsh’s art collection that was later acquired by the Smithsonian Institute. It has been architect gut-renovated into a dramatic living experience surrounded by nature and water. The Pond and Carriage House are at the opposite side of the estate, no adjacent outdoor areas are shared, except the driveway, the overlook lounge chair, and 'sand land' can also be visited by guests from the Pond House, both are not directly visible from the house or patio. The Pond House is visible in the distance from the north terrace only. The swim holes in the woods are shared, walking distance to them is a few minutes though the woods.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and a balcony or patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board. Housekeeping is available on request.

Great Spring Weekend!

The property was great and as advertised and perfect for our long weekend. The setting is very rural but at the same time, it is less than 5 minutes from downtown Woodstock and all it has to offer. The host was delightful, attentive and responsive.
