We enjoyed ample space and a pretty view while we celebrated the holidays here as a family. The kitchen was well stocked and the fire pit and hot tub, as well as the pool/ping pong tables, were hits. It could use a deep cleaning (thick dust on exhaust fan in bathroom, floor did not appear thoroughly cleaned when we were wiping up a spill), and there were some broken furniture items, but nothing that impacted our stay. The biggest issue was running out of hot water- the listing says it sleeps 19 and we had 16 (half adults) and after a few people showered we ran out of hot water. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

This home was perfect for our annually family vacation. 14 of us. Plenty of room. One recommendation is a second frig either downstairs or in basement. One frig for that big of a home was a struggle. I would use it again for sure.

We stayed here with a group of friends, and there was more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and featured modern, updated amenities. Both the homeowner and property manager were extremely kind, responsive, and easy to work with. We encountered one minor issue during our stay, but it was resolved quickly thanks to their genuine care and attentiveness. I highly recommend this property to any group looking for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend in the mountains!

Fantastic House for Large Group

We really enjoyed this house and location. The view is beautiful and the location is private. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pots and pans and dishes. We wanted for nothing and everything was perfect. The company called to check on us and even allowed a later check-out. We were very happy with everything.

Complications

When we arrived it was super clean we had no problems at all. It wasn’t till the morning of the first night there one of our family members had a bunch of bites on her. Thought it was mosquitoes but as the second night came more family members had bites we decided to do a check on beds and found bed bugs on 3 beds. We contacted the company they were amazing with communication and sorted out the situation for us. Overall if it wasn’t for that I would give this house a 5/5 stars!

Secluded and Spacious

This was a perfect fit for our family of 12. The home provided plenty of bedrooms, which meant no adults had to sleep with children. Always a plus. The kids and adults enjoyed the hot tub, and the kids appreciated the ping pong table/pool table.

Great winter retreat

There were 12 of us- all were accommodated very comfortably. Plenty of basic supplies and extra blankets. The fire pit and hot tub were a hit. Plenty of space in a comfy setting. Heated floors in the master bath were awesome!

Beautiful view

House was situated in a valley and the view out the back deck was amazing. House was nice inside and out although there were dead (and live) ladybugs everywhere outside the deck making it difficult to use. Grill needs replaced too. Really bad condition and slow to heat.

Lots of potential with mediocre experience

The location is very private and a short drive away from lots of activities and attractions. During our stay, we found pieces broken off the dishwasher, the oven did not work and the ice maker was hit-or-miss. In addition, there were really only 2 showers for the entire group as one was located in the master bathroom - with lukewarm water. There were a lot of little things that could have been much better. We did enjoy our time together but likely would not return to this destination.

Golf Group at Rockdale Lodge

This was our second year to stay at the Rockdale Lodge on our annual early fall golf trip and it worked perfect for our group. Plenty of room and beds for 8 guy golfers. House is very clean and comfortable. The outside deck was great for grilling out and relaxing while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains. We've been going on this golf trip for 20 yrs and stayed in several mountain houses and this is our favorite.

Family wedding

I rented this property for me and some family members to stay in so we could attend a family wedding. The place was overall was clean it fit all 18 of us comfortably. Very quiet area, the outside deck area after breakfast taken in the amazing views was realaxing what a great little area for people to sit and chit chat. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. The house is stocked well with basics plates cups etc. Going up the street/gravel driveway was tricky and bumpy make sure you have some ort of suv/truck type of car but we got used to it. We had a great stay definately would recommend.

Rockdale

We had a wonderful family vacation in this beautiful home. There was plenty of room for all 14 of us. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful views, the hot tub, pool and ping pong table. Large kitchen with plenty of seating for meals. Located conveniently to the surrounding towns to visit. Will definitely return when we plan another mountain vacation.

They answered a couple of email questions promptly before arriving. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the cleanliness. The rooms were a good size and everything was very clean!. Everything worked very well except the hot water. When we got there the hot water was barely warm. We were staying from Friday through Sunday morning. I sent a message Saturday morning at 11am about the hot water not being hot. They still have not returned message. The hot water was our only problem.
