Great location near the train station and Guglie water taxi stop (5 min walk) in an area of Venice where many locals live, away from the heavy tourist areas. Shops, groceries, and restaurants within 1km radius. Saint Mark's Basilica, 2.1km.The property is easy to find and close to Parco Giochi, a green space and children's playground. The rental space is on the ground floor and the host lives upstairs. Some noise can be heard from normal upstairs activities. If there is any festival going on in the park, such as the April 25th Liberation Day celebration, the noise from the park will be easily heard in the apartment and may last until 11pm at night. aWe experienced loud music from 8pm to 11pm 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, but the 3rd night was very quiet, and that is apparently the way it is normally. Ask the host, Beatrice, if there is any festival planned during your stay if you are concerned about noise. Beatrice is very helpful and communicates promptly.The bathroom is private, and nicely updated. The bed and furnishings are well-used; the bed is NOT a firm mattress. The kitchen is adequate, but not well stocked.Even though there are windows allowing natural light, there is essentially no view since the property is not directly on a canal. The apartment was clean, but not super clean. But I am tall, so I noticed dirty surfaces that shorter people wouldn't see.Overall, this property is a good location and a decent value but you must walk to the main tourist area.
