Nice cozy place in a quite neighborhood

We stayed here for a family visit. It’s relatively very close to the Mestre train and bus stations. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. In my case the beds were too tightly close. The personal is excellent, they let us leave our bags for a late departure.

Perfect gateway to Venice.

Hotel is very conveniently located for getting to Venice fast. Hotel is basic but is clean an well maintained. The fron desk personal is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are on a smaller side, but the bed is comfortable and the linens are very good quality. The bathroom is small and very basic and old, the plumbing fixtures should be updated. Towels are large, soft and comfortable. Breakfast could have a better variety, but has some juices, yogurt and hot bread. The hotel is walking distance to the rail station, has free car parking which makes it the perfect gateway for Venice. I wouldn’t recommend it for the long stays, but one or two nights is ok. Hotel has a very good pricing compare to staying at Venice itself. It is relatively easy to get anywhere including islands.

Building and space nice, beds a little hard but some may prefer that. Bath/shower very adequate. Location in a residential area but walk from train station to hotel not savory at night time. Limited lighting and no real sidewalk on main street to walk safely. Limited English but able to communicate needs. Air conditioning, once they turned on fans worked very well.

Clean, quiet, friendly

Calm and quiet residential neighborhood of Mestre , well placed near train station. We could walk and get a ten minute train ride into Venice then get out of the mad crush of Venice by coming back to Mestre. Found some nice restaurants within walking distance. The owner , Giuglio was so nice! Clean, comfortable and friendly. It has its own parking lot which we really appreciated.

Nice, clean 3-star property

This hotel is only about 3 blocks from the Mestre train station in a middle-class residential area. Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice typical Italian breakfast in the morning, free wifi and only a short walk from several dining choices.

We had a comfortable stay in the hotel.. It is very conveniently located.. 5 min walking distance from Venezia Mestre train station.. The walk to the hotel however goes through a neighbourhood which is not very clean and didn't seem safe to walk at night..

Don't stay here.

My fiancé and I chose to stay at hotel Ambasciata, but in hindsight I wish we would have stayed elsewhere. Although it was conveniently located 5 min. walk from mestre station that was virtually the only plus about it. When we first arrived, the receptionist looked at us for a good 30 seconds in silence, even after I said hello, we have a reservation. I asked him why he was looking at me like that and he said nothing, and proceeded to ask if we were X party with reservations. After the awkward welcome we went to our room, and though the room was clean it had sheets and curtains from about 1970. It had 2 twin beds pulled apart, which was an easy fix, but the beds sunk low when we sat at the end to compose ourselves. Went from a sit to a squat real quick. Along with that, there was a large crack in the wall at the foot of the bed and marks as if someone threw their bad wheels first. Bathroom was decent but a little cramped. When we got ready to check out, which you have to do by 11pm if you need to leave before 8 the next day, the guy tried to charge me a petty 50 cents for the calls down to the reception I made when trying not to dial out, which I wasn't even successful in doing. The neighbourhood was average pretty quiet but with a group of youth and some dealers hanging around the path to the station looking real sus. I would get my money back if possible and spend it on the best wester across from the station if I'd have known.

Smallest shower stall I have seen anywhere...

Almost impossible to take a shower - stall is so tiny that it seems having being designed just for kids (not for adults) and dozens of mosquitoes kept us awake for a good part of the couple of nights we stayed there - will not come back to this hotel.

A bed close to the train/island.

Local weather was sunny and in the 80s however AC was not working/'turned off for the season'. Attempted to use fan feature of unit and it only blew hot air. Opening windows lets mosquitoes in. Thin walls & flat/tile surfaces everywhere seemed to hear everything going on in the hotel - conversations in room next door, showering, etc. As previously stated fan was not an option to drown out noise. Bed was hard, tiny shower but functional. Would recommend arriving during the day. Within walking distance of train station (which provides easy, fast & inexpensive access to the island) however tucked away off the beaten path in a residential area, poorly lit. Felt safe in hotel for the most part but unsure of neighborhood. Bed, running water, lights, convenient access to visit the island. Wifi decent.

Great location, five minute walk to mestre train station. However, air conditioning in room does not run when you're not in the room, which was a pain in 40 degree weather. Also lots of bedbugs.
