Very convenient location for those extending their stay after a Uniworld cruise. Very quiet location, but within walking distance to all the major attractions in Venice. Prompt and courteous communication from the staff regarding the booking. Arrived well before check-in time and the staff generously allowed us to check in early. Only complaint is that the lock on the room door was difficult to use. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Dorsodoro Gem

Small. Stylish (like a W hotel in miniature). Exceptionally thoughtful arrival experience. Gets the details right. Comfy beds. Good shower. Great location tucked away from the hordes but just 3 min to the San Basilo Terminal and vapparetto stop. The Zattere waterfront, grocery, cafes are all right there. Be sure to visit the artists’ collective shop a few doors down!

The wonderful staff member Filippo greeted us after our walk to find the hotel. He kindly offered us a cold towel and processco to cool down from the heat. He was very accommodating and gave us great tips for Venice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Only comment would be for the shower/tub situation. the shower hose faced from the wall in the middle of the tub instead of the end so it made it difficult to move around and clean, particularly when the curtain also was in the way. Other than this was a great stay.

The staff here went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room is very nice, the bathroom, very modern. The only thing I could complain about is that the room was a little musty smelling because of all the heavy rain they were having. I'm sure that can't be helped, Venice is a really wet place! The bed was very comfortable.

Fabulous small and friendly hotel.

Fabulous stay in Venice. The hotel is in a great location, away from the busy/tourist areas (but not far to walk to all the sights). Very clean with a fabulous Italian breakfast. If you like music, Venice Jazz Club is just a few minutes walk away and a great night out. Will definitely stay again.

Home away from h home

Staying at Avogaria feels both peaceful and far away from the crowds and at the same time, a short walk away from everything. My room was like a little oasis and the owners and staff are warm, kind and extremely accommodating. I will definitely stay here again.
