Beautiful property! We just loved our stay. We had plenty of privacy, the house was well stocked, extremely clean and well built. The hot tub was a treat and the hammock was the perfect reading spot. Water access was easy and the dock we used was sturdy and very relaxing with two lounge chairs. We didn’t get to use the fire put but that setup was very nice. We definitely give this property and hosts a 10/10 and will hopefully be able to stay here again for our next trip.

A great stay

We were looking for a little weekend getaway from middle Georgia and this was perfect. Right on the lake, the view is incredible. The cabin is semi-private in that there are other cabins and the owners home on property, but no one disturbed us. If you like fishing and kayaking, this is your place. Also, there is a boat ramp on property. Howard was a great host and communicative.

Very nice place with all thing thought out in advance. Very communicative about what they had to offer and if we needed anything. Best place we have ever stayed at. We enjoyed the neighbors we met walking. We encountered nice folks at the grocery store and restaurant. Owners truly cares about us having a good and relaxing time.

Girls weekend

Spend a girls weekend at the lake at this beautiful property! It was the perfect size for 4. Everything was extremely clean, modern decor, all linens were provided and in excellent shape, we had everything we needed and more! The hosts checked on us and brought extra loungers and a floating dock. They were incredibly hospitable! Highly recommend this bungalow!

Fabulous location and hosts!

The setting is gorgeous, clean, fun and relaxing. The guesthouse is very well appointed and comfortable. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t already there. We will definitely return and stay longer next time.

What a special place!

This property is as advertised - and then some. The property itself was so intentionally prepared for a welcoming stay, it is hard to put into words. Clean, comfortable and well thought out. The owners of this property, and the adjacent Green Heron, are exactly what you would want in a host/owner. They are so gracious with the grounds that surround the cabin, you feel like you have an entire peninsula on Lake Harding to yourself. We have already started making plans to return in the summer and experience more of what this beautiful corner of Alabama has to offer. 6 out of 5 Stars!!!

Wonderful experience

Look no further! Honestly, this is the best rental we have stayed at! Howard and Anjel are very responsive and considerate hosts. The house is very nice, and extremely clean. Cleanliness is a very important factor for me and the Blue Heron was exceptional. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook a nice meal. There is a grill, a fire pit stocked with wood for us to use. Extra bedding and towels. They really thought of everything you might want during your stay. We used the kayaks and paddle board. We sat outside at night and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and we weren’t bothered by mosquitoes or any bugs because they do a great job with upkeep of the grounds and landscaping. Howard even took us to Two Tree church in his boat and then gave us a boat tour of the lake! So nice! We will absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

Peaceful slice of heaven

The cottage and ammenaties were second to none and the hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Enjoyed our conversations with Angel and playing with Charlie! Even the teenage kids loved it. Hope to come back again.

Relaxing very inviting stay

I stayed here with my family to see my son who is in military. The house is great and was a perfect place for everyone to unwind by the water and firepit. All the lake amenities they offer were great. The house is very clean and everything is very well thought out to make you comfortable. It has everything you need to make it your own home while staying there. By far one of the best vrbo I have stayed in. Perfect for 4 adults. You won't be disappointed with stay.

Peaceful, Tranquil, & Heavenly

Our trip to the Blue Heron Guest House was by far the BEST vacation YET! My little family and I were blown away at the beauty that awaited us upon our arrival. If it is peace and relaxation you are seeking....then the Blue Heron guest house is for YOU! The guest house looked as if it were brand new! Simply gorgeous!!! We saw no flaws...It had everything a small family could every need or ask for in a house by such a stunning lake. We slept great, woke up & had a great cup of coffee outside while glaring out at the gorgeous sunrise on the beautiful lake. My husband enjoyed fishing and his boat rides; while, our special needs daughter played in the sand at the beach area for the very first time. To top it off, meeting the owners/host while there was a treat that made our stay even sweeter! I'm happy to say, that we made many great memories here and pray to return very soon!

Relaxing Stay

An amazing place. Everything you could expect was found inside. I'm not persnickety about having new stuff, but it was quite evident the furnishings were newer and high end. Clean! My plans changed, so I did not even get to use the kayaks, fish... or even grill out and use the firepit, but the peacefulness and views of the water from every window was priceless. I will look to book this one again when possible. Thanks for making this such a great stay!

Fisherman’s Paradise

This place was fantastic! Perfect place for our teenage kids. They could fish from the dock around the clock! The house was the cleanest STR we’ve ever rented! There is a special attention to detail that really makes you feel welcome. The owners are nearby if you need them but distant enough to feel secluded. The boat ramp is scary so we decided to use the public launch that was nearby. We truly loved it and plan to return!

A Peak in Valley, AL

Staying in Blue Heron Guesthouse was such a treat from a long trip on a long weekend. Howard has created a sweet retreat and thoughtfully met all of our travel needs. This is a clean, comfortable place to stay on a beautiful lakeside location with fun, family-focused amenities. It’s a private area in close proximity to great food, shopping and recreation. We’ll be keeping them on our go-to list of places to stay!

Perfect Location

We found this property after scheduling a fishing tournament on Lake Harding, a lake neither had fished before. After reviewing the property and reading the reviews and looking at the approximate location on the lake we booked. I can honestly say after checking in and walking in I can't think of one thing the owners have not thought of that could have made the home feel more like being home! The layout of the bedrooms and bathroom gave both of us plenty of comfort and privacy. Views of the lake from the front and rear of the home, ample parking for the truck and boat (covered carport). Beds very comfortable, plenty of towels, blankets, comfortable seating in the living room. Kitchen well stocked, Kuerig coffee pot with good assortment of teas and coffee. My fishing partner and I discussed the stay on the way home and decided anytime we are fishing Lake Harding and this property is available we will not hesitate to reserve it again. Cannot say enough about the owners and their attention to detail and making sure we had everything we needed for a quiet and comfortable stay.

Perfect place to stay.

We had the best time staying at the Blue Herion. The place had everything you could imagine and more. From the fire pit to the grill she had everything that you would need down to the lighter. The S’mores were the kids favorite. The cottage was so comfy and cozy, and there is lots to do on the lake. The cottage was the best so far we have stayed at.. Great vacation in a cute and tidy property!

Howard and family were great hosts for our small family vacation. Their communication was excellent, and their hospitality was second to none. The guest house was very well appointed and as cute as could be. In fact - I slept so good on the mattresses - I had to ask Howard for the details - and will be ordering some for my home! The water toys and property were cute and exactly as advertised. There were plenty of life vests, kayaks, knee boards, and fishing rods for the kids to enjoy and nice shady areas for my wife and I to watch them. This was the best and most relaxed vacation we've taken as a family of 4 in at least 5 years and look forward to being able to return! Overall 10/10 - you will NOT be disappointed!!
