Tybee Vacation Rental lack of communication with us was beyond belief. We got there and the unit was cold. We turned the thermostat to 68 degrees but it made no difference. I called at 0630 to report this. I woke some poor unfortunate soul up somewhere in Texas. Finally, she said she had put in a work order for us. I drove to the local office on Tybee Island as soon as I felt they had time to show up and get their coffee. I reported the temperature and situation. Then, many hours later I had to call again to see what was going on. No one had a clue. I asked to speak to a manager, but the agent assured me that this was being handled. Hours went by and no one called me back with any information. I kept telling the agent that we had three young children, including a 5 month old coming that afternoon. At 3:00 it was still only 58 degrees in the unit. After six calls, we made another visit to the office. Finally, a technician was sent to our unit. He got there 24 hours after we checked in. Did you catch that?? 24 hours without heat. Let that sink in. Then, someone was fixing the HVAC, and the water heater was turned off. We called about no hot water early the next morning. No one fixed that for hours. And, when they finally did, no one from the office called us to let us know that it had been fixed. So, we went 24 hours with no heat and we went 20 hours with no hot water. And, no one kept us in the communication loop. Still haven't heard from any manager.
