Fantastic House & Property, Well Managed!
We had an awesome stay this week in the Glass House! The newly installed EV charger made a big impact on our stay, enabling us to visit the far end of King’s Canyon without any worries in our EV. The photos give a taste for how cool this building is, but arriving and walking through really is the only way to property appreciate how open it is. There is near total privacy thanks to the very large property, privacy fence along the road, and forested setting. The house is floor to ceiling glass in every room, looking out into the trees and the foothills beyond. There are curtains in the bedrooms and bathrooms, but the main living areas are so beautifully open. Thanks to the excellent A/C you can be inside relaxing or cooking, enjoying the views, while it’s 90° outside. The kitchen has a complete set of pots, pans, and implements you’ll need for cooking indoors or grilling on the back patio. We didn’t miss anything from home.
We charged our Rivian easily overnight with the newly installed 40amp charger. It’s a juicebox charger with a J1772 plug. Tesla owners will need to bring their adaptor, or use the 14-50 outlet on the charging post with their mobile charger. It was crucial to have an EV charger because the distances and elevation gains involved in visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon from Three Rivers are pretty huge. Though it does involve lots of driving, the parks are incredible and the location is great. Hope we get to stay here again!

Very cool house!
We really enjoyed this house, it felt as though we were outside without the heat and bugs! The house had everything we needed and more.
This house was not super livable, meaning there are not a lot of surfaces to place things (think no place for glasses near beds). This house is also very dark, all the lighting in the house is an odd color or dark besides the bathroom. We arrived and left in the dark which was hard because there was no outside lighting. This house is unlike any other house I’ve ever stayed in, we loved how outside and inside were brought together.

Perfect getaway, relaxing vacation home
The glass house was an ideal location for our family's retreat. We picked up groceries before coming into the Three Rivers area but the house was fully stocked with housewares and even spices that made it so easy to relax at home. We loved the nearby sounds of the river and overall comfort of the place. We will be coming back!

Perfect stay!
The photographs of this beautiful and unusual property are accurate. The mid-century high style of its furnishings are matched by their comfort and functionality. Kitchen was fun to cook in -- excellent appliances, utensils, pots/pans + a clever solution to limited work space.
Bed very comfortable with a lovely view of the nearly full moon.
Keep the windows open and you'll fall asleep to crickets & the sound of gently rushing water (not visible from the house.)
Bathroom spotless and spacious with high-end products.
Exterior lovely, too. Old-growth trees, outdoor fireplace where we made s'mores (this is a requirement ;-) And birds galore -- quail, bluejays, wild turkeys, woodpeckers. Home is in the path of two deer that we saw every day from the comfort of the quilted hammock hanging from giant sycamores (I think.)
Definitely a keeper.

Unique Place to Stay!
Stayed here for two nights and really loved it. Honestly, the first night we were all a little uneasy sleeping with all glass windows and no privacy...we're city people so it was weird and we always felt like someone would be watching us :) But after the first night that feeling went away. Love that there's no cell or internet! The house is fully equipped with everything you could need to cook and hang outside or inside. Great book and magazine collection. And special thanks to the property manager who went over and above to help us with a key situation when we were checking out. Highly recommend!

We’ll be back!
Everything was great, place was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed. No one cared that there was no WiFi or cell service, as there was so much to do. The projector was great for movie nights, they have a great selection of DVDs but bring your own if you prefer. The property manager was great as well and check out was easier than most VRBOs I’ve stayed at.

Most incredible house ever!
We will definitely stay at The Glass House again. It was exquisite! The property was gorgeous! The house made the whole experience so much better with the floor to ceiling windows 360 degrees around the house. It was breathtaking to have a view of the insanely beautiful property from everywhere in the house. My kids loved the trampoline and the fire pit and going on nature walks. The projector was an awesome feature! Sheila and the property management company were amazing and always replied back to emails and phone calls super fast. I almost dont want to give this house five stars because I don’t want more people staying here and the word to get out so it’s booked the next time we want to come ha ha. My only recommendation is if you are traveling here with kids- bring a couple folding chairs so you can watch your kiddos on the trampoline or any of the other fun places to play on the property. The property is huge! I really don’t have enough amazing things to say about this stay. Can’t wait to come back!!

Modern serenity
Hands down the best VRBO/air bnb I’ve ever stayed at. The house itself was so cozy and neat. You can’t beat the views from inside or while outside on the property. Our pups romped around to their hearts content while we took in the amazing 360° views. The glass house was truely calming from the normal busy life. We didn’t miss reception with all the amenities provided. We enjoyed being so close to Seqouia National park. Can’t wait to come back!

the perfect getaway
Had the most relaxing weekend here with my family. It's the perfect escape from the city and the house is unreal! Had a chance to unplug and spend quality time together.. the house is very well kept and clean. Between the board games, ping pong table, movies, music, and the river, there is so much entertainment you won't even miss your phone!

Stunning escape
2018 review: If you can't live without wifi or cell service, stop looking now and find a different place.
Everyone else, my partner and I just returned from our third visit to this magical property and it was our most restorative, creatively inspiring and delightful trip yet. My boo gives me death glares any time I mention this place to friends because (a) we want to have a shot at booking it and (b) it has come to feel like our own home (without having to deal with window washing!)
This year we brought our one year-old puppy along and I've never seen him so happy. For those taking pets, the large surrounding property is fenced on the road side, bounded by the river in back (not a worry for us as he's not a big swimmer -- rocky and occasionally fast rapids if yours is). He ran and ran and I think will spend the time until our next visit scheming ways to become a country dog.
Lots of kitchen amenities, the coziest couch and rug and warm heated floors made this a perfect wintertime retreat. Note that if you're going into Sequoia National Park you want to gas up in town. Honestly though, this quiet retreat is a destination in and of itself.

Unique property in a great location
Once my wife got over the "creepy" factor of having very little privacy, we both began to love the idea of the open feeling that the glass walls provided. The property itself has established trees, a flowing creek (freezing cold so not recommended for swimming), and tons of wildlife (some of which make it into the home, spiders in particular). I traveled with my 6 year old son, and he loved every bit of the house, especially the ping pong table. Having no TV or reliable internet provided our family a time to reconnect which is what we are all looking for.
The town of three rivers is small, but has everything you need and my wife calls it cute and quirky.
If I have the opportunity to go back to the park, this will be my first choice for lodging!

Incredible experience all around!
We simply LOVED our stay at the glass house...it was serene and peaceful inside and out. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning coffee outdoors before it got hot and the early evening wine by the river....the stunning view of the meteor showers was total icing on the cake. We'd love to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay close to Sequoia National Park. Make sure to do grocery shopping before coning to 3 rivers though as there is not much in town.

Very unique property, but some issues with ants/mice
We like to stay in unique properties when we travel if possible, and this award-winning glass house was certainly unique. Virtually every interior and exterior wall in the home is made of glass panels (there is one solid wall and a curtain for privacy in the bathroom) and if you're interested in architecture, by all means book this property.
There are other benefits of staying here, as well. The home is well-equipped to keep a family busy, with a ping-pong table, trampoline, hammock, DVD player. It's air conditioned and has all the amenities, including high-end appliances and fixtures (Bosch, Duravit, Gaggineau). The property manager responds almost instantly to emailed questions, is a wealth of helpful information about the parks , and returned my deposit within hours of our departure.
Location is about as good as you're going to get unless you stay in Sequoia National Park. Note that the park entrance is only minutes away, but that is misleading. To get to any of the "good stuff" in Sequoia you're going to have to drive at least 40 minutes on wind-y roads. To get to Kings Canyon you have to drive considerably further. There doesn't appear to be any other towns that provide easier access.
There were two major downsides to this property. First, it is infested with ants and mice and the owner appears to be more concerned with using all-natural products to address the issue than with actually getting rid of the pests. Ants are everywhere. I was picking ants out of the shower and when I picked up a book I had been reading from the floor, it was crawling with ants. Mice are a problem, too. My daughter saw one run across the bathroom floor while she was showering, and one ran across the living room while we were all watching a DVD. To me, a person should be able to live with whatever pests they feel comfortable living with, but once you decide to rent out your home (especially for the nightly rate we were charged) you need to make sure the home is pest-free.
And secondly, this house is clearly someone else's house. We frequently rent homes instead of hotels when we travel and most are rental properties designed for a guest's comfort. In this house, I felt a little like Goldilocks barging in to someone else's living space while they'd momentarily stepped out. The limited storage space in the cabinets and fridge were filled with their food, and half the closet space contained their clothes. The effect was more Airbnb than luxury property rental.

AMAZING LOCATION AND ENVIROMENT
The glass house, appliances, fixtures and furniture are unmatched. Extreme good taste in everything and you can really find all that you might need for your stay in the house (mi kids loved the Projector Film and all film options). Dos-and-Dont's pretty clear in the "house instructions", helpful landlord, and Three Rivers is also really well located if you are aiming to explore the Sequoia National Park and you can find (reasonable) food around and a very decent Market, really worth ! Humm....just remember that we also miss some nice Chef Knives to help cooking.
IF we could say something in a positive way (just to improve even more the stay), we notice that the yard was not so well maintained (spider webs everywhere around the garden furniture), the river access could be cleaner and the fact that one day we woke up with a car parked inside and a men digging a ditch a few meters from the GLASS house. Not a stress situation but also not nice and not correct. We should be warned.
But, setbacks apart, we highly recommend the rent.

Novelty of home soon wears off
The glass house is a very unique and novel home; however, the novelty soon wears off. The home is not well set up for vacationers, with no TV, cellular phone access, Internet, place to hang your own clothes, or appropriate dishes, glassware and silverware. The main glass walls face the road, which is rather close, and with neighboring houses within view. The grounds were unattractive. We left our vacation early, inspite of the premium rental price.

Christmas with a View
Thanks for sharing your unique house with us for the Christmas Holiday. The house was enjoyed by the whole family. Loved the warm floors, fires and nature's view at all times. The highlight of the stay was a thunder / lightning storm in the evening followed by a nice size bear walking along the trail by the house. Fantastic view only from the glass house.
Sheila was great to work with and this was a great place to stay in the winter. Highly recommend seeing the Sequoia Trees on a snowy day. Amazing!...We loved no internet and no Wi-Fi since we have 2 teenage kids. Back to the basics with cards, games and conversation. Priceless...
