We had a lovely stay with 12 of us over spring break. The communication from the host was excellent throughout the process! The house was very pretty. We loved the pool. We took advantage of the local chefs (Garrett and Gaston both fantastic!!) and enjoyed the house. We went to local beaches, Lola’s, Il Rustico and KonTiki pizza as well. The beds and pillows were a bit too firm for many guests…only issue we heard of. Close the doors always…we found a scorpion or two while there. Oh…the monkeys are amazing!! Right in the trees on property. Thank you again!

We had a truly magical vacation at Villa Solana. The house is gorgeous and the outside is even better than pictured, with so many options to keep kids entertained. The property management was very responsive and helpful with any and every question we had before and throughout our trip. Our housekeeper Gabriella was also wonderful and had the house looking beautiful every day. We will most definitely be back.

Beautiful house with plenty of room for our 2 families. Each room has it's own bathroom (2 kings with en suite, 2 additional bedrooms upstairs with their own bathrooms in the hallway, and the casita has a bathroom as well that doubles as the pool bath). The kids had a blast in the pool, on the soccer field and with the ping pong table. The husbands loved the cold plunge and sauna. We rented golf carts to access the close by beaches but our favorite was Playa Negra, a short drive away. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that we absolutely loved the Villa and all it had to offer. The house was fabulous, clean, well maintained and perfectly suited for a large group like ours. We enjoyed all the extras, sauna, cold plunge and the e-bikes were a definite hit! Karla was amazing, we really appreciated everything she for us. The only down side was the problem with the alarm and the lack of internet for the last 3 days.

AMAZING STAY

Our stay at Villa Pinilla was incredible! The perfect balance of relaxation and wellness. The house itself felt like a private retreat, with a beautiful lap pool, rejuvenating sauna, and an invigorating cold plunge that made every morning feel like a reset. It’s just a short walk to the beach and a quick fun bike ride (the house provides awesome Murf Electric bikes) to some of the best surf in the area, which made it easy to spend the days in and out of the water. The staff were attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel effortless. We left feeling healthier, happier, and already planning our next visit.

Incredible house, neighborhood and staff

We had such an incredible stay here and couldn’t recommend it more. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The house was absolutely spotless and clearly very well maintained. It truly felt like every detail had been thought through—there wasn’t a single thing we needed that wasn’t already there. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils, cookware, cups, bowls, and everything else you’d expect (and more), which made it really easy to settle in and feel at home. Beyond the basics, the amenities were amazing—e-bikes for exploring, plenty of games to keep everyone entertained, and standout features like the sauna and cold plunge that made the stay feel like a luxury wellness retreat. The outdoor space was just as impressive. The pool was beautiful and perfect for relaxing, and the soccer field was such a fun bonus—especially for the kids, who spent hours out there playing. It’s not often you find a place that balances relaxation and activity so well for all ages. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we all slept great every night. On top of everything, the staff was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference. One thing we really appreciated was how safe and secure the property felt. It gave us complete peace of mind the entire time. Overall, this place checks every box—clean, well-equipped, fun, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. We would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

The most beautiful vacation home!!!

This house was absolutely gorgeous!!! It blew us away and we’re used to staying at 5-Star hotels. Ethel was the absolute best! She kept the house so clean everyday and made some amazing food. The location was great! Overall I couldn’t recommend this place more! The pool and back yard was breathtaking!

Family and Friends Getaway

We were a group of 17 and the house provided plenty of space for all of us. The house was beautiful and very well maintained. Carla’s breakfasts were amazing and the perfect way to start each day. The beach club was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed all of the amenities. Everyone had a blast on the e-bikes. We also appreciated the group chat to immediately address any questions. The ATV experience was the favorite event for the kids!

The house was perfect for our party of 12. Very spacious and comfortable. The outdoor space was amazing and the kids loved the pool. I’d definitely recommend the grocery delivery - very nice option. Joel and property management were wonderful to work with. Very responsive and helpful. Our flight out was canceled and they were kind enough to find us a property to stay one more night and organize the transportation from and to the airport - all within twenty minutes of our request. We’d happily stay at Villa Solana again!

We had a wonderful stay overall. The property is beautiful and worked perfectly for two families traveling together (4 adults, 2 boys, and 2 girls). There was plenty of space, and everyone loved the amenities. The soccer court was a huge hit, the pool kept the kids entertained for hours, and we enjoyed several evenings with private chefs cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. The sauna was also a nice bonus.One of our favorite parts of the trip was the beach. It’s incredibly wide, never felt crowded, and was perfect for long walks. We especially enjoyed walking down the beach to Lola’s and the beach club.The biggest downside was the concierge experience. While they were responsive, booking services was unnecessarily complicated. For example, hiring a chef required downloading an app and linking a bank account instead of simply providing a credit card.We also booked a boat trip through the concierge and were told transportation was arranged. After a one-hour drive to the marina, we discovered the boat had never been reserved because a waiver and payment were still outstanding in an email that landed in my junk folder. No one followed up via WhatsApp, despite coordinating transportation. It was frustrating and resulted in several wasted hours.Overall, the home and location were fantastic, but guests paying for properties at this level expect a more seamless concierge experience and better attention to detail.

Great stay

Overall, we had a great stay at Villa Solana. The team was quite responsive and the amenities were wonderful. The only issue preventing me from 5-star rating was a water issue that occurred on two days, leading to either no water or no hot water in some bathrooms. Eventually, a maintenance crew was able to replace a pump after a couple days. Other than that inconvenience everything was great!

Perfect in Everyway Family Vacation!

Villa Solana exceeded our expectations, the house, the pool, the service! The pool, long walks along the beach, wave jumping in the ocean and the sunsets!!! It was hard to leave the resort area (some of us didn't). Our family of 7 adults had THE most amazing time. The house was spacious enough for everyone and yet drew everyone together to play games, swim and share meals. This was by far our best family vacation ever. Thank you!

Beautiful home

We enjoyed Villa Solana very much. The pool, sports field and ping pong table offered a lot of opportunities to get out with the kids and play. Hacienda Pinilla is an amazing development and has much to offer with golf, horseback riding and the beach club to name a few. We took many walks down to the beach with was only a couple hundred yards from the home. The home was meticulously cared for and showed very nicely.

This was a beautiful, well equipped & clean home that made for a comfortable and enjoyable spring break stay for two families with 5 kids. We had more than enough room to call home. The pool is a wonderful size with very functional patio for lounging in the sun or taking a break from the heat of the day. The kids loved having the soccer field to release energy. The e-bikes and ping pong table were a great addition. It came equipped with beach chairs and coolers though we didn’t use them. We rented two golf carts for our visit and would highly recommend doing so as the hacienda Pinilla beach club clubhouse is a 7 minute drive away. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and the beds and pillows were top notch - very comfortable accommodations. We hired Chef Gaston for a BBQ meal in the home. Wonderful - highly recommend! We had tons of leftovers so do it early in your stay. Housekeeper was kind and did a wonderful job in the home every day from 9-12. We also had massages in the home and they did a wonderful job. The highlight of our time was enjoying the backyard and watching a family of monkeys swing by in the trees. You really feel like you are in Costa Rica. No beach view from home but a short walk to one access point for sunsets which is different than the Clubhouse. Highly recommend this property.

Just WOW!

Upon entry to the property we were welcomed by upscale scents and a wonderful staff that showed us the property and made sure to answer any questions and give us recommendations.The house and grounds are gorgeous and everything is well thought out and planned. Rooms were spacious and the AC was nice and cold.We opted to have Carla make our breakfast daily and it was so worth it. She was amazing!Only complaint was the sauna and cold plunge weren’t operational but that wasn’t a deal breaker. Kids loved the e-bikes and the local beach was amazing at low tide.Highly recommend!

We loved Villa Solana for our multi generation family gathering. First of all the house is stunning and there was plenty of room for the whole family. The house setting is peaceful and we could walk to the beach to watch the sunset. The staff was amazing and help us curate the perfect vacation for our family. And the in house housekeeper went above and beyond to make the house look at its best at all times. Not to mention she made the most delicious breakfast! We can't wait to return to Villa Solana!

Incredible diamond in HP!

Loved our stay in the Los Golondrinos neighborhood at Hacienda Panilla in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The place was super clean and well-kept. The kids had a blast on the mini soccer field and pool space is incredible. The property managers were easy to reach and helpful. We enjoyed the nearby beach club, JW spa, and close access to beach. Only small hiccup was a missing toilet seat, but it was quickly addressed. Just a heads-up, the 5th bedroom and its bathroom are outside. Perfect spot for big families or multiple families traveling together. Highly recommend!

Incredible Stay

Our family of 13 had the best time creating memories in this incredible house. It was the perfect size for us. It is in great condition and had everything we needed. They had our complete week long grocery list bought and unloaded in the house before we arrived. Having Ethel come every morning to clean and help with laundry was a dream! It felt like a true vacation - getting to relax. The staff was so helpful in the planning of our trip, making sure we had everything we needed. They were always so quick to respond. We can't wait to come back!
