Check-n was at 3:00 pm, however at 3:45 pm on the day of check-in we still had not received our keys/code for access or check-in instructions. We should have received them at least 2 days prior to our trip. Yet the evening before our check-out, the host was sure to remind us of when our check-out of 10:00 am was. The dishwasher was not connected properly and therefore, we had to wash dishes by hand for 2 days and only when the maintenance man came by to spray for ants, another problem to be addressed, did it come up that maybe the water had not been connected. Now to address the ant problem. There were ants everywhere. And the owner knew this because when we arrived you could see the dead ants where they had sprayed that were left in the window sills, door jams, and bath tub that had not been cleaned up, but left behind. Yet this did not take care of the problem. It was constant. Crawling in the bathroom, across the toothbrushes, across the table as your eating, up your leg as your cooking dinner, and once you’ve cleaned the tub out, 2 hours later they were back again. We had to go and buy ant spray ourselves and when we addressed the issue with the owner, all we received was an apology and they sent someone out the next morning with a can of spray to do the very thing we had already done for the past 3 days. Absolutely disgusted and disappointed with the experience and Thanksgiving is a holiday we travel and VRBO every year wherever we go. Disappointed in VRBO!!!!
