Staying for the Daytona race with family. Checked in late, staff at the desk was friendly and fast. Our room has been clean and comfortable.
I have been staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Talladega almost from the beginning it was built. I was so excited the first time I discovered (by accident) that a real hotel had come to Talladega, as I was born and raised there. I had come into town to care for my mother and needed a place to stay,as our home place was not adequate for our needs. We had lots of things to do for her, the house, and other business to take care of. The first two stays were good. Talladega does not have such amenities as those in that hotel and it's the only one in town. this recent stay was a disappointment. The room was not cleaned in a timely manner, was left uncleaned until 7:00,a couple of times and not cleaned at all. I was speechless and took what I could get until my stay was over. I will look for accommodations further away on my next trip. Sorry
When we checked in we were upgraded to a Suite. Toured some historic old homes and buildings, Took a tour of the Talladega Superspeedway, the Desoto Caverns.
they allowed me to check in early and were very nice
Our check in clerk was very helpful and friendly. the room was clean; however, there was a plastic cover on the mattress (felt a little strange), refrigerators in rooms were loud, and the wall thermostat did not work. The window unit did work. I accidently left a pair of shoes and my phone charger. When I called about these, I was told that nothng was found in my room. Overall, the place was okay and it was very clean. I would stay there again. It is probably the best in the area.
It was right near everything for us. Although it was for a sad occasion it was just right. The only thing I would change is putting families on the 1st floor so their children running around in the room doesn't disturb the people on the lower level.
Nice hotel and room. Price gouged/doubled because of the race (April). Checkout Monday morning not pleasant with the rude clerk. Nothing to do in town except fast food joints. Close to Wal-Mart.
Second visit to hotel and still as wonderful as the first trip last year. Very clean and polite and helpful staff.
Very well appointed room. Everything was clean and new looking.
Front desk clerk was very nice. Could not go to the pool due to a storm the day before. Was told it would not get cleaned until the next day. Room was ok, compared to other HI's we have stayed at. Could not connect to the internet also. Also, breakfast did not start until 6:30. We had to leave at 6:15. Not a good deal.

The hotel is new, clean, and provides great customer service! The amenities are beyond the expectations we had, and the entire facility was spotless. Staff here does a great job of maintaining throughout. Desk staff was polite and friendly. Definitely worth the money.
