We had an amazing experience at the Cattail Cottage! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was ideal—peaceful and private, yet close enough to local attractions and amenities. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making check-in and communication a breeze. We especially loved the cozy fireplace! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch getaway!

The host was very nice and communicated very well. The cottage easily accommodated our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids aged 4-11). It was extremely clean and everything was provided that he said would be provided. Everyone was very comfortable there and felt very safe and relaxed. The Black Stone grill got used for just about every meal while we were there. What a great amenity to have. Beds were comfortable, which allowed for a great night of sleep. The views of the lake through the large windowed wall and from the campfire ring were breathtaking. Overall we all had a fantastic time and will definitely stay there again if we ever decide to vacation in that area again. Highly recommended!!

Check in was smooth and easy. Beautiful view of the lake. Our family really enjoyed the use of kayaks and canoe. And dining room table and chairs could fit all of us for all our meals. Great location to Hayward for groceries, the best candy store, and huge delicious scoops of ice cream in several stores!

Our group of 9 (two couples, one grandpa, 4 teenagers) 1 small dog had a great time! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We found the lake to be great for swimming, and also made good use of the kayaks and canoe.

Beautiful Cabin and Quiet Location!

We loved Brad’s cabin! We very much enjoyed our family get together, which was 7 adults. The cabin had everything we needed. The Lower Holly Lake was perfect for canoeing and kayaking. It’s wonderful that Brad provides these amenities. My brother brought his fishing boat. Which we launched in Sand Lake, very nearby. The parking at the house worked great for 3 cars and a boat. The space is very open, and great for cooking. The deck was great for peaceful mornings drinking coffee. And evening happy hour. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful 4th of July Stay

There are really no complaints for this property. Everything was clean and stocked so we never ran out of necessities like toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, etc. Our stay was very relaxing with various amenities (lake, fire pit, grill, ping pong table, and more) to make it a fun trip. Being by the lake was peaceful and the space was enough to accommodate a group of 10 plus a dog without making us feel overcrowded. Everything in the cabin seems practically brand new, too! The property owner was also extremely attentive with communication and answered any questions we had very quickly, before and during our stay. We would have loved to have stayed even longer!

Relaxing week at Cattail Cottage

Cattail Cottage is beautuful & clean inside & out. The canoe & kayaks were a big hit as well as the ping pong table. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our week with family. It was so peaceful & quiet having coffee on the deck early in the morning listening to a multitude of different birds and loons. We had a wonderful time. Kudos to our host Brad.

Surprise birthday trip

The property was beautiful! You could hear loons at night before bed and in the mornings. Plenty of firewood and chairs for nightly fires. Comfy beds. Great location. The property owner was very quick to respond and had lots of information sent to us and posted in the property making check in and check out easy to follow.

A perfect fall getaway

Beautiful, quiet property and a lovely home with all the necessities and thoughtful touches. Easy to follow communications from the host and helpful driving instructions to help with dicey GPS directions! Everything was just wonderful and we highly recommend this property.

Best Place!!

Perfect House for our group

Lovely house! We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks, the firepit and deck. Close to Spooner and Hayward for day trips. Perfect for our group of 6 adults!

Great place!

Very neat, clean and in a quiet location but yet close enough to town for activities and groceries. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of games and space to keep busy. The beach area is not located directly on the property but it is a short walk down a nearby trail. Pretty sunsets. Overall we all had a great time.

Family Retreat - Short but Sweet

Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage. (Five adults and two dogs). It was really a beautiful area, sunsets lovely, the huge porch looking over the lake very relaxing and kayaking fun. The place is lovely, owners very responsive and I would highly recommend. Our dogs loved the dock area and chasing balls at the waters edge. Our kayak excursions to find the turtles and enjoy the water was a highlight. (We did not attempt to swim, it is more of a fishing lake) We did see the fish. Cottage is set up for anything that you would need and beautiful.

Excellent Hideaway

We had an excellent time at the Cottage. My whole family enjoyed the fire pit roasting smores on the warm summer nights. The ping pong table was a hit with my teen. My husband and son even ventured on the kayaks and went around the lake a couple of times.. The house was very clean with plenty of towels and bedding The welcome book was very thorough. It was really an enjoyable experience I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Family Vacation

Very nice property with quiet location. Brad was very helpful and stayed in contact. We found The Cottage very clean and comfortable, plenty of room for 5 adults and two dogs. Love that this location is pet friendly and we were able to vacation with our dogs. Kayaks and canoe we a hit on the quiet Lower Holly Lake.

Wonderful Stay

The property is very comfortable and beautifully finished in knotty pine. It was furnished with all the amenities we needed, even firewood for an outdoor fire pit. The owner is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly to any questions you may have. We truly enjoyed our stay!
