beautiful place

Incredible place that my husband and our Boston terrier enjoyed from the comfort of the clean, beautiful place and all accessible communication and attentions walking in nature. a beautiful ranch to treat yourself and enjoy we hope to return soon (we bought fresh eggs and delicious meat)

Summer Fun

This was a great stay with fun to river access. Our float got cancelled due to sever storms and dangerous conditions on the water, but there were still safe spots to hang on the the water. We’d definitely go back since it’s a short drive from the city.

Poor communication with property manager

Although the property was nicely maintained, it would have been more enjoyable if we had some direct communication with the property manager other than messaging through VRBO. We did not have phone service at this location. The map of the property was not beneficial.

Favorite trip we’ve ever gone on.

In short, every second of this trip was amazing! I could not believe how beautiful this place was in person. As soon as we got there one of the owners Justin came down, gave a full rundown of everything we could do, gave fun ideas and even helped to unload the heavy stuff. Jessica the other owner was so helpful and extremely quick to respond. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and clean. The kids ages ranged from 4-10 (4 altogether) and every single one of them want to go back asap. It was relaxing but so much to do at the same time. We are already planning our next trip back! Thank you guys for renting out a little piece of heaven on earth!!

Our 2 day getaway!

Everything was nice for us. Love the property and learned a little about what to expect next time. I would have given all 5 stars, except out of 49+ pictures, you would never know there’s another cabin next door. It was empty our first night but ppl stayed the second night. They were very nice but I just had a picture of a little more privacy. A small section of privacy fence or even a short row of a few evergreen trees would help a lot. Beautiful views and it would make a fine vacation spot. We plan on a return trip but we will stay at least 3 nights as two just wasn’t quite enough time. Thank you for having us and we will not forget our trip. We may try and order some of the special raised cattle meat. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Just what we were looking for!

I wanted to find a quiet place on rural land not too far from St. Louis to get away for a few days, and this place was PERFECT! No complicated check-in/check-out, and directions were very clear. Beds were comfortable with plenty of good pillows. Great to be able to bring the dog along too!

Very Pleasant Stay

We spent time at this property in order to visit friends, go fishing and visit wineries. The house was very clean and the yard well tended so our dogs were also comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing and beautiful property

We loved staying at Hillside Cabin. The house was great, but the property is the real star. It’s so relaxing and peaceful! We loved taking a long walk to the Meramac River and enjoyed the back deck. We would stay again!

Beautiful Spot

The cabin is set on a beautiful property! Jessica was great and very helpful. The cabins are spaced out and the people are quiet. It was the perfect spot for our family to get away and go hiking in some of the nearby parks. Steeleville is close and has a grocery story and dining. We would stay again.
