This place is outstanding, from the staff to the check in, room decor, bathrooms, shower, and finally the food offering. The pub is superbly positioned for both Southampton and Winchester.

Room was nicely decorated. But was very cold when we arrived. Turned the heating on and then couldn’t get it down again…was extremely hot! Shower was lukewarm at best. Pub was ok, but very busy and loud.

We could not of faulted The Crown! Great, welcoming staff, beautiful room, fantastic pub (drink & food). Would most certainly recommend and stay again. Rooms worth double the pricing.

Nice big room with great big bed, but poor lighting made it very dark in the evening. Nice big bathroom, but the cold tap was explosive sending water across the floor. Bar was below our room and was VERY noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. No extractor fan in bathroom. Staff were very nice and food was good too.

Very little choice on the evening meal in the puband very very expensive , i had fish with a lot of bones in it , breakfast was better to be fair . The room itself was very low ,you had to duck down to avoid banging your head going into the bathroom a possible accident waiting to happen

Great place to stay as a stop off for a night en route to the Isle of Wight. Rich in history and heritage and has a rustic charm and character while being well appointed with high end bedrooms, modern bathrooms great showers and really comfortable beds. We had 2 rooms one bigger one smaller and both were great value. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and great service. Overall a very good experience.
