Excellent service at front desk and concierge . The first 2/3 nights we literally could not sleep as the room was so hot 23c. The air con would not cool it and when it was fixed all you could do was set it to 18 and leave it there . The area around is nice but be aware there will be protests most of the weekend in the area around and whilst peaceful the music is noisy and prevents late sleeping after a long journey . They buffet looked lovely but at c£100 for what’s still a buffet was very expensive . Rooms quite basic . You also need to put a towel down in the shower floor as otherwise it’s like an ice rink. All the staff were wonderful though

Loved the hospitality, from the check in to the bell service to check out and even to the departure with the limousine shuttle, everything was perfect. Super friendly staff. Loved the view from the room of the city. But if you are looking for a quiet hotel, this may not be it for you since the hotel is near by the city hall and an ice skating ring, so expect loud music/events such as protest/rally going on. It didn't bother me much though. I wouod stay here again next time I am back in Korea.

Mixed experience.

In terms of services, it was a mixed bag. I feel the staff needs to smile more and greet the customers whenever they walk by. Some did but some didn't. One day, when I tried to find a taxi, I was told by a staff that I needed to install a taxi app and no further assistance was offered. Another day, a bell staff, Mr. Tak, went out of his way to kindly call the Jumbo taxi during peak hours using his own app which required multiple tries. I really appreciated his service. The room was a bit tight, but the view of the outdoor skating rink and the city hall from the room was eye-pleasing. The location was like a double-edged sword. Great location that offers easy access to everything Seoul has to offer. However, due to political unrest in Korea, the demonstration/protest area was nearby, so the noise level was quite high.

We had an amazing stay at the Plaza heading into New Years! Excellent service, plenty of dining options and close to shopping. Rooms are slightly outdated vs pictures but still good. Definitely get breakfast included in your stay as the buffet was good and most cafes open after 10am here. Hotel is also on central heating in winter so we left the external vents open and room heating off. Great stay overall!

I was hoping for something special but it was just a hotel with high prices. The bed in the middle of the room was awkward as was the glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom. The location was good, easy access to many popular sites and public transit. Check in was chaos, stall tactics, sign in here, wait there, delay, we got in our room at 4 pm… at 9 we received a text our room was ready. Many do speak English enough to order food, get a taxi, but I felt like we were always given the worst seat in the restaurants. I really wanted this to be special, but it was just a hotel with odd features.

Service was top notch from start to finish! They are at your service for anything at any time. The doormen opened and closed our taxi doors, carried luggage and brought scale to weigh our luggage for us when leaving. The cleaning service was excellent with fresh towels and replenished amenities daily. The front desk staff and concierge were super helpful with recommendations for eating and maps and weather information. They all spoke excellent English so communication was easy. The hotel is perfectly situated for shopping and sightseeing and extremely walkable. The wine and cookies gift for being a VIP were delicious. We spent a lovely week at The Plaza! I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again!
