We were so delighted and thankful for our nearly 2 week stay here while visiting Seoul. It was truly a 5 star experience! The host, Chuck, was phenomenal with everything from arranging transportation from Incheon airport, providing a walkthrough of the penthouse apartment, giving restaurant and shopping recommendations, and answering our questions quickly and easily. The apartment was perfect for our party of 6 with everything we needed including a rooftop area for relaxing and looking at the city. The apartment is well stocked with a coffee maker, filtered hot and cold water at the touch of a button, washer and dryer, microwave, rice cooker, record player, Seoul travel guides, books, puzzles and toiletries. The Hongdae Village neighborhood is centrally located and has grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores, a nearby metro station, coffee shops, a nearby bus stop, malls, K-beauty stores, and shops that are all within walking distance. And although you’re in a busy neighborhood, you can’t hear anything inside the apartment at night so we slept well in our comfy beds. This was our first visit to Seoul and we loved it! It’s a beautiful mix of ancient (palaces, temples, fortresses) and modern (shopping, arts, mass transit). It’s clean, safe and walkable. Great hiking and green spaces. People are friendly and helpful especially if you learn how to say hello and thank you in Korean. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBOs and this one is our favorite!
