There was a group of people in the residence who were smoking, drinking and laughing very loudly until 4AM right behind the door of our room. We asked them few times to move to the other side they went and came back again which was not unexpected as they were so drunk. But the next day we told to the hotel staff and asked for a solution or change of our room and they said that cannot do it and if that happens again we should call the police.

The property had changed name and was under renovation. The restaurant was closed. The bathroom plumbing was an issue. If we had known property was under renovation, we would have cancelled and booked elsewhere. Did expedia not know of this situation when we booked?

Very friendly and corteous staff, especially Felicia and Karen. Karen welcomed us warmly when we checked in. Though we arrived so early before the required check in time, she gave us a room immediately by switching our booked room to another that was available. We were very tired and sleepy during our journey because we woke up so early to be able to catch our earliest ferry ride. Karen was emphatic and pro-active, and what she did is going the extra mile. Kudos, Karen! You are commendable. Our pleasant stay and excellent service extended to us made us to decide that we will stay again in this hotel every time we visit Sechelt in the future. Thank you!

The king bed and the location are very nice! And the front desk lady was very nice. Literally on the water front and the beach is very peaceful… The not so nice… the room was dated… very dated, we suspected some kind mold in the bathroom and woke up to silver fish bugs in the the tub… didn’t really want to use the coffee machine as it didn’t look the cleanest so didn’t want to risk it It was a one night stay so it was fine… not sure if I would stay long than that

The staff were not very friendly. We asked for another set of towels because we had 3 adults. We were told that the housekeeping had already finished so there might not be any 'extra' towels for us. We also asked for another cup and glass but were told there were no more to spare. The staff came to our room with a glass later and said that there were no more coffee cups. When we reminded the staff that we booked the room for 3 adults the response was 'ya, it's only an extra 20$ and the rooms are only stocked for 2 people'. The rooms were outdated and the coffee maker was placed where we couldn't plug it in. The restaurant was closed while we were there so we had to travel around to find somewhere to eat (everything closes early) When we arrived there was an empty beer can and garbage along the walkway - it was still there when we left 2 nights later. The location was great but the place itself needs repairs and updating.

Smokey room

Room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke as soon as I walked in. I went and asked for a different room but they were fully booked. They offered a slight discount, but my room was prepaid so that didn't help. She suggested I air it out. I checked out the next morning and found a different hotel. My clothes smelled even.

Beautiful property with water front views we got to see orcas swimming near shore, the location was near shopping areas and a beautiful walking area! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room had a kitchenette and a patio dining spot.

This motel is going through renovations to refresh it at the moment but was still a wonderful stay. Because of this refresh, I am not commenting on areas that are a little tired and those areas did not affect our stay. We stayed in an ocean front King room right above the restaurant atrium. The view of the beach and listening to the waves at night was so calming. The room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was beautifully renovated with stunning black fixtures including a rain shower head and shower wand, high end toilet and wonderful deep soaker bathtub. While I do wish the lighting in the bathroom was brighter, some brighter bulbs could probably fix that and honestly, it was so clean. I loved the under lighting on the mirror that provided just enough light for nighttime bathroom visits. The ladies at reception were absolute gems and gave us some fantastic restaurant recommendations. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel and it will be our go to on future trips.
